The team at Plum Tree Memory Care is proud to share the publication of our completed study, Feasibility and Acceptability of a Virtual Home Assessment for Supporting People with Dementia to Live at Home. The purpose of this study was to gauge the practicality and acceptability of virtual home safety assessments designed to support individuals living with dementia and their care partners.
Findings suggest that virtual assessments are a well-received and accessible approach to identifying safety concerns, supporting independence at home while connecting individuals with appropriate services and resources. Virtual assessments may be especially valuable for individuals who face barriers to accessing in-person services, including those living in rural and remote communities.
