Chiropractor, physiotherapist, massage therapist. Which one do you actually need?

Chiropractic looks at joints that are not moving well. Clicking or grinding, sharp pain, nerve symptoms, a back that feels locked up.

Physiotherapy is structured rehab. After surgery or an injury, or when you need to rebuild strength and mobility.

Massage therapy works on muscle that is tight, knotted or holding stress.

For a lot of conditions it is not one or the other. All three work under one roof, so your chiropractor and your physiotherapist can talk about your case directly.

Not sure which fits? Comment the word HELP and we will send you a short quiz.

Hey Kitchener, a quick reminder on sleeping positions and what they do for your spine.

We ranked five of them, from the one worth changing first to the one we recommend, which keeps your spine closest to neutral.

5. On your stomach. Worth changing first.
The neck stays rotated to one side all night and the lower back is held in extension.

4. Curled up tight. Fine now and then.
Knees pulled toward the chest keeps the whole spine flexed for hours.

3. On your side, nothing between the knees. Halfway there.
The top hip rolls forward and leaves a twist through the lower back.

2. On your side, pillow between the knees. Nearly ideal.
Hips stay stacked. The cheapest change on this list.

1. On your back, pillow under the knees. What we recommend.
Closest to neutral, with weight spread across the whole back.

If you're waking up stiff at all, we always encourage you to come in and book an assessment.

Thanks, and see you soon.

How many chiropractic visits do you actually need?

Honest answer: it depends what's going on.

A pain or strain that started over the past few weeks usually improves faster and can often take four to eight visits. Something you've carried for months or years generally tends to take longer, closer to eight to sixteen weeks of consistent care.

Then once you're feeling strong and back to normal activities, it's your call. Some people come in for monthly care and maintenance, some every few months, and some not until there is another flare up.

Either way we reassess at every stage. If you're not improving we change the approach or refer you out to the right service for the condition.

Spine Myth #2: sitting up perfectly straight is good for your back.

If you're sitting there right now forcing yourself into that stiff, military posture, just relax. Take it easy.
Truth is, sitting bolt upright actually puts more load on your lower back, not less. The research says the sweet spot is around 110 to 130 degrees. Slightly reclined, nice and comfortable.

But the angle isn't really the point. Your spine just isn't made to sit in one position for hours on end. The best posture is your next posture.

So don't overthink it. Just move. Shift around, stand up, take a couple minutes every 45. That's it.
The problem was never that you slouch. It's that you stay put all day.

Save this one, your back will thank you. And follow along, we're busting a spine myth every week.

Three chiropractors. Two physios. And still in pain? 💬Comment QUIZ and we'll send you our free health discovery quiz.
If that's you, you're not imagining it and you're not a difficult case.

👉Here's what we see all the time. Someone walks in who's already spent a fortune.
A couple chiropractors, a few physios, maybe massage, maybe injections. Everything helped for a few days, then the pain came right back.

➡️Here's what usually got missed. Every provider treated the pain. Nobody looked at why it kept coming back, how the pelvis is sitting, how the hips are moving, whether there's a disc driving the whole thing.

It's like painting over a crack in the wall. Looks fine for a week, then it shows up again, because nobody looked at the foundation underneath.

When we assess at WIlson Health, we start from scratch. A full exam and report of findings, and a plan built around the actual problem instead of the symptom.
That's not magic. It's just being thorough.

If you're looking ot alleviate lingering pains and strains, comment QUIZ and we'll send you the free health discovery quiz. It's the first step to finding out what got missed.

The laundry basket gets the blame. It's almost never the cause.

Your back didn't go out because of one bend. It went out weeks if not years before the day it gave out.
The sitting, the skipped movement, the small things stacking up until one ordinary moment tipped it over.

That's exactly why we look at the whole picture, not just where it hurts today.
If your back has been trying to tell you something, come in and let's find out what's actually going on.

A desk job bould be quietly reshaping your spine. 🪑
8 hours of sitting does this:
→ Pelvis tilts back, flattening your lower back's natural curve
→ Discs take on more pressure than they're built for
→ Head drifts forward, thats roughly +10 lbs on your neck per inch
-
Repeat it 5 days a week for years, and a 35-year-old can start moving like 55.
-
The fix isn't quitting your job — it's interrupting the pattern:
✅ Stand 2 min every 45
✅ Standing back extension
✅ Screen at eye level
-
Back pain that won't quit? Comment "QUIZ" and we'll send you our free 30-second Health Discovery Quiz to help point you in the right direction.

Have back pain from work?
Drivers, warehouse workers, mechanics, nurses, parents, anyone whose job grinds their lower back over the years.
The good news: most lower back pain from physical work is reversible if you catch it before the damage becomes structural.
The bad news: most people wait until they can't get out of bed in the morning.
