What if your brain fog has less to do with your brain… and more to do with the smoothie, salad, iced coffee, and stress you’re running on every single day? Ayurveda's been talking about this for thousands of years. Science is only now catching up to the gut-brain connection.

So if you’re:

- Waking up feeling exhausted after sleeping
- Needing multiple coffees just to feel remotely functional
- Forgetting words mid sentence
- Staring at your screen unable to focus
- Feeling groggy driving to work or getting on Zoom calls
- Feeling bloated, heavy, foggy, constipated, puffy, or mentally slow ...

This is not “just getting older.” And it's not always a brain problem.

From an Ayurvedic lens, your brain's often reporting what's happening in your gut.
When digestion weakens, the body creates Ama.

Ama is toxic, undigested residue the body cannot properly clear. That Ama begins clogging the channels that nourish the mind, nervous system, and tissues responsible for focus, memory, clarity, and energy.

And here is where it gets important: The foods causing the problem are often the exact foods you think are “healthy.”

If you are Vata dominant, all the raw salads, smoothies, iced drinks, and grazing throughout the day may be worsening the instability, anxiety, and scattered feeling in your system.

If you are Pitta dominant, the spicy foods, excess coffee, rushing, multitasking, and constant stimulation may be overheating your digestion and contributing to irritability, inflammation, headaches, and burnout.

If you are Kapha dominant, the heavy comfort foods, excess dairy, sugar, oatmeal, ice cream, and sluggish routines may be creating stagnation, congestion, heaviness, and mental fog.

This is why Ayurveda never believes in one-size-fits-all wellness. Your brain fog is not random. Your body is communicating with you. And the solution is not always another supplement, sleep protocol, or productivity hack.

Sometimes the answer is rebuilding your Agni. Your digestive fire. The very foundation of how your body processes food, thoughts, emotions & energy.

If this sounds like you, send me a DM me and let’s talk about what your body may actually be asking for.

Pregnancy is one of the biggest Vata events your body will experience. What happens in the weeks after birth shapes the years that follow.

Vata is the queen of the three doshas - the first to move out of balance, and the one that pulls the others with it.

Birth floods the body with air and space, with movement and a quiet openness.
And if this is not grounded and nourished in the weeks that follow, you feel it…

The West has lost the art of really supporting new mothers. What the body needed in those first 44 days does not disappear. It waits, and often shows up later. Many women begin to feel it as their bodies shift in their 40s.

If you are pregnant or postpartum and wondering what kind of support your body is asking for, this is where that conversation begins.

Your food is not the problem. Your fire is.

In Ayurveda, Agni is your digestive and metabolic fire. It is the force that transforms what you eat into the energy your body actually uses. When Agni is strong, nourishment becomes fuel. When Agni weakens, and it almost always weakens under chronic stress, the food still goes in. But the energy does not come out.

What builds up instead is what Ayurveda calls Ama. The residue of incomplete digestion. It is heavy, sticky, and it clogs the channels that are supposed to carry nutrients where they need to go. The more Ama accumulates, the more Agni struggles to fire. It becomes a cycle.

This is why the answer is not a cleaner diet. It is a stronger digestive fire. And that starts with how you eat, when you eat, and what your nervous system is doing while you eat.

If your diet looks perfect on paper and your energy tells a different story, follow for more on what your body is actually asking for.

Hormones do not break on their own. They break because something upstream stopped holding.

Most women come in with two problems they think are separate: the burnout and the hormonal shift. They arrived the same year. They are the same cascade.

The nervous system is the driver. When it has been in protection mode long enough, hormonal resilience drops. And perimenopause arriving in an already-depleted body does not ease in gently.

This is not Amazon Prime. The body does not heal overnight. But it does heal when you address what broke first.

If your hormones and your stress peaked in the same chapter, follow for more on what your body has been trying to say.

Your body logs the hours. But it is not reaching the depth where rebuilding actually happens.

Eight hours on the clock is not the same as eight hours of repair. When the nervous system stays in protection mode overnight, it does not access the deep states where the body rebuilds. You wake up having technically slept. And still feeling like you did not.

A sign of a genuinely restorative sleep cycle: waking before your alarm, or not needing one at all. An alarm that jolts you out of sleep is pulling you from the wrong place in your cycle. The nervous system registers that as a threat before the day has even started.

If eight hours is not restoring you, The Rest Collective is where your body learns what real repair feels like. DM to learn more.

When your body has been in protection mode for long enough, lifestyle changes alone do not reach the layer where the depletion lives.

You are not doing it wrong. The diet, the supplements, the sleep hygiene; those things matter. But some nervous systems need more than a protocol to shift out of protection mode.

Touch-based therapies like Abhyanga and Shirodhara provide direct nervous system input that supplements and routines cannot replicate. They do not work around the depletion. They reach into it.

If you have plateaued, it is not because you have not tried hard enough. It is because the body needs a different kind of support.

If you are curious what that support feels like, I would love to work with you in person. And if you are a bodyworker or practitioner who feels called to learn this work, our Bliss Body Therapy training runs June 5 to 7. DM me for either, I would love to hear from you.

Ready for a protocol that solves your real problem?

What most health coaches will give you in order to fix your hot flashes or unexplained weight gain as you age is some perfect nutritional regime or strict workout regime.

This is the opposite of what you need.

What you need is nervous system support through Ayurvedic bodywork, Yoga Nidra, grounding practices, proper nourishment with warm cooked meals, minerals, healthy fats, rest, personalized routines like evening wind-down rituals and circadian rhythm support, realistic movement like walking, yoga, strength training, and digestion support that will help you detox the stagnation really causing your inflammation and weight gain.

You need a plan that actually works with your life and your body.

Not some perfect routine you’ll most likely never follow.

I use all the modalities that work for you.

I always recommend a combination of Ayurveda and modern support.

For some clients, we combine things like Ayurvedic bodywork, nervous system regulation practices, functional testing, strength training, minerals, blood work support, or targeted supplementation because it supports their particular body.

Tapping into all modalities that might support you is why my clients begin sleeping better, experiencing fewer hot flashes, feeling more emotionally stable, losing stubborn weight, and finally feeling like themselves again within a few months of hiring me.

When you’re ready to become one of them, send me a DM.

The right things in the wrong order is one of the most common patterns I see in practice.

I hear it constantly: I tried everything. Nothing worked. And I believe them. Because the problem is rarely what they chose. It is when they chose it, and what their body was actually ready to receive.

Ayurveda does not start with a protocol. It starts with a reading. Constitution. Current state of imbalance. What the body is asking for right now. In emergency medicine we call it the Rs: right patient, right formulation/treatment, right dose, right route, right time. The principle is the same.

The intervention is not the problem. The sequence is.

If you have been doing the right things and not getting the results, this is where that conversation starts. DM to get started.

Your dosha quiz didn’t get it wrong.
It’s a conversation starter.

A clinical assessment is where it really begins.

We use it to open a conversation about who you are now versus who you were as a child.
That space between your Prakriti, your true constitution, and your current state
That is where the clinical picture lives.

A real Ayurvedic assessment does not rely on what you checked off. It reads the tongue, the nails, the hair, the eyes, the pulse. It listens to the story your body has been telling for years.
Not just what you scored on a questionnaire.

If a dosha quiz sparked something for you
a clinical assessment is where the real answers start to unfold.
