We love it when we find someone as passionate as us about food rescue and reducing waste! That's why our next Thank You shout out goes to AW Lacombe!
Over this last year they have proved that the little things add up, especially in bread ends and onion ends (Some of you received those today! 😊) Together, with their help, we redirect on average 80-100 lbs a month of these perfectly edible food items that could have very easily gone to the landfill in small amounts over the course of a week. (Our very unscientific research has also shown that there are a large number of us that actually prefer the bread ends! Or as one of our volunteers says, turn them the other way and slather peanut butter on that sucker and your kid will never know they got the end piece! 🤣)
Thank you A&W Lacombe for your continued support and dedication of helping the Lacombe community and the environment. Doing small things can lead to big changes.
