With World Environment Day approaching, it’s a good reminder that our surroundings can influence how we feel.

Time outside, movement, fresh air, sunlight, and moments of slowing down can all play a meaningful role in supporting mental and physical wellbeing.

Sometimes supportive care includes reconnecting with the environments that help us feel more grounded, regulated, and present. 🌿

We’re proud to be participating in the Payton & Dillon Budd Memorial Ride on June 7, 2026. 💚

This event brings our community together in support of youth mental health initiatives here in the Okanagan.

Christina and the Healthy Essentials Clinic team will be riding together to support organizations creating meaningful impact for young people and families in our community.

We would love for you to join Team HEC.

If cost is a barrier to participating, Healthy Essentials Clinic is happy to sponsor registration fees so more people can be part of the day.

The SEEN screening sparked meaningful conversations around parenting, healing, and the impact family patterns can have across generations.

These were a few reflections that stayed with us.

Support for parents matters. Healing creates ripple effects. And meaningful change often begins with awareness.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us.

Sometimes support begins with simply feeling comfortable enough to walk through the door.

Creating a calm, welcoming environment is one of the many ways we care for the whole person.

It often takes courage to take that next step, especially when support has been on your mind.

When you’re ready, we welcome you to connect with us. 💚

If your motivation has felt inconsistent lately, your nervous system may have something to say about it.

Motivation isn't purely psychological. It's physiological.

As seasons shift, your nervous system recalibrates. Energy and drive are often the first things affected.

This is more common than people think. Supporting your system can look like consistent sleep and meal times, gentle movement, or giving yourself permission to pace differently.

We're here if you need support. 💚

Lemon water is often talked about online...

If adding lemon helps you enjoy water more, stay hydrated more consistently, or build routines that feel sustainable, that can be meaningful. Lemons also provide vitamin C and may offer additional benefits for some individuals.

Supportive nutrition is rarely about extremes. It is often built through simple, consistent habits that work for your lifestyle and your body.

If lemon water causes discomfort or does not feel like the right fit, plain water is still an excellent choice.

Do what works best for you. 🍋

This piece in our clinic is inspired by The Book of Forgiving by Desmond and Mpho Tutu.

It reflects a thoughtful path toward healing: telling the story, naming the hurt, granting forgiveness, and choosing whether to renew or release the relationship.

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting or excusing harm. Often, it means creating space to move forward with greater peace, clarity, and self-respect.

We display it in our office as a reminder that healing is rarely linear, and that growth often begins with acknowledging what has been carried for too long. 💚

Mental health is a huge part of our overall health.

It influences how we think, feel, connect, and function in daily life.

Support matters at every stage, not only during crisis.

This Mental Health Week, we’re reminded that caring for our mental wellbeing IS caring for our health. 💚
