Today is Day +6! 🧡 That means it’s been 6 days since my stem cell transplant.
My white blood cell count is still at 100, which means I’m still very neutropenic. My hemoglobin has also dropped to 10.3, which is mild anemia and one of the reasons I’m experiencing such extreme fatigue.
As scary as these numbers sound, they are completely normal for this stage of treatment. Day +6 is usually the lowest point before things start to turn around. Now we wait for my body to start doing its thing and for those new stem cells to kick in!
Today was actually a pretty good day, all things considered. I got to enjoy a little sunshine, ☀️ which felt really good after spending so much time feeling exhausted and stuck inside.
Being away from my boys during all of this is hard, but knowing how much love and support I have behind me keeps me going.💗
Tuesday is my next big day to see where my counts are, so fingers crossed we start seeing those numbers come up soon! 🤞🏻 Just ready for these new stem cells to get to work! ❤️ National MS Society MS Canada HSCT México HSCT HEROES DIARIES
