People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
Every relationship, whether brief or long-lasting, serves a purpose in our personal growth and life journey.
Some people enter our lives for a reason. Their purpose may be to help us through a crisis, teach us important lessons, or guide us toward the next phase of our path. They often act as catalysts for personal growth. Once the lesson has been learned or the challenge has passed, the relationship may naturally come to an end.
Others come into our lives for a season. They are there to share experiences, bring joy, offer companionship, and walk beside us during a particular chapter of our lives. As we grow and evolve, the connection may gradually fade as that season comes to a close.
Then there are those who are meant to stay for a lifetime. These are the long-term friends, family members, and life partners who remain through the many chapters of our journey. They offer enduring love, emotional stability, unwavering support, and a sense of belonging through both our highest highs and lowest lows.
Losing someone from any of these stages can be deeply painful. I know this from personal experience.
When it happens, it is important to honor your feelings and acknowledge the impact that person had on your life. Allow yourself the grace and compassion to move through the grief, the change, and the lessons that remain.
Not everyone is meant to stay forever, but everyone who crosses our path leaves something behind—a lesson, a memory, a gift, or a piece of wisdom that becomes part of who we are.
Some people are chapters, some are entire books, but each one helps write the story of our lives. ❤️
Let this settle.
Take a deep breathe and notice what part of this message your heart needed to hear today.
