๐Ÿ’™ Thank You, Mosaic Rotary Club of Lethbridge! ๐Ÿ’™

On behalf of the South Region Self-Advocacy Network (SRSAN), we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club of Lethbridge for their generous $1,500 donation in support of the 16th Annual Citizen Walk About!

The Citizen Walk About is an important opportunity to celebrate the disability rights movement, raise awareness about accessibility and inclusion, and come together as a community to promote equal citizenship and belonging.

We were especially touched to learn that, after attending last yearโ€™s event and seeing its impact firsthand, Rotary members decided to increase their original $1,000 pledge to $1,500. Your continued support means so much to the self-advocacy community and helps make this celebration possible.

Weโ€™re also thrilled to have Ben Rowley, Rotary member, Past President, and Inclusion Lethbridge Board member, returning this year as one of the MC's!

Thank you, Rotary Club of Lethbridge Mosaic of Lethbridge, for walking alongside us toward a more inclusive Lethbridge where everyone has the opportunity to participate, be heard, and belong. ๐Ÿ’™

The Lethbridge Public Library invited Inclusion Lethbridge, SACLA, and Decapo Disability Services to participate in an Ability and Inclusion Focus Group as part of developing its five-year strategic plan.

The discussion highlighted the library's role as a safe, welcoming community hub while identifying opportunities to expand accessibility, inclusive programming, adaptive resources, and partnerships.

Participants also shared barriers faced by people with disabilitiesโ€”particularly transportation and digital accessibilityโ€”and emphasized the importance of the library continuing to serve as a trusted space where people can connect, learn, advocate, and have their voices heard.
