🌟 Connecting with the next generation of Disability Service Workers! 🌟

We’re excited to be out at the TRY-A-TRADE INTERACTIVE EDUCATION AND CAREER FAIR hosted by North West College in North Battleford today, introducing students to Bea Fisher and the rewarding opportunities available in the disability services field!

It’s a great opportunity to connect with the next generation, share a little about what we do, and show how a career supporting individuals with disabilities can make a meaningful difference in our community.

We love seeing young people explore careers where they can make a positive impact! 💙

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) and we are excited to join with other provinces, communities and organizations to celebrate the annual Inclusive Employment campaign.
DEAM is an opportunity to celebrate the strength and diversity of people, including those living with disabilities who are making meaningful contributions to our local businesses and communities. It is also a time to highlight the importance of inclusiveness in our workforce.
DEAM began in the United States in 1988 and made its way to Canada in 2010 being proclaimed by the majority of our provinces by 2011.
We currently have 63 inclusive employment partnerships around our community!
You can help us celebrate! How you ask?
• Follow us throughout the month as we showcase some of our community’s disability inclusive workplaces.
• “Light It Up” on October 15, 2026. Decorate your home or business with purple or a combination of purple and blue lights to show your support for disability inclusive employment.
• If you own/manage a business in our community, think about hiring someone with a disability.
