Midwest Family Connections www.midwestfamilyconnections.ca Family Resource Centres are all about connecting parents to other parents and to resources in their community.

MFC has a number of programs that include:
HOME BASED SERVICES: Support families with pre-school children who are experiencing, or are at risk for, developmental delays. Program Facilitators provide services and support to families in the areas of child development, family dynamics and community connections. FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE: The Family Resource Centre is bi-provincially funded and developed

to provide parents the opportunity to access information and services to help them give their children the best start in life. INCLUSIVE CHILDCARE CONSULTATIVE SERVICES: Region 5 Child and Family Services Authority developed the Inclusive Childcare Program to enhance and support the capacity of Early Learning and Child Care Centres to include all children in their programs. Midwest Family Connections is the external agency contracted to deliver ICC services throughout Region 5 including the Alberta side of Lloydminster

ALBERTA CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH PRE-SCHOOL INITIATIVE: This program provides the opportunity for professionals in the early learning community to receive professional development and information regarding children's social and emotional development. Home Based Services are also provided to families who are experiencing challenges with their children's social emotional well-being or behaviour. Midwest Family Connections receives funding from the following agencies and Ministries to provide services:

Each Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 new moms gather for connection, guided conversation, a "mom moment", a place to learn about reliable self care resources & connect with community supports.

We also offer free childcare during the session so you can focus on YOU! If you feel more comfortable with your new baby staying with you, they are more than welcome to!

Our upcoming topics are:

- Definitions & Realities of Motherhood on September 10th
- Social Supports (and our friends from Public Health will be present) on September 17th

This year families will have a passport that they can use to collect stamps at each of the stations!
