It’s been a busy and fun summer!
Luke finished up daycare at the end of July and has been loving life at home before starting JK. He’s a wild man that never stops having fun. We have played, we have done a few road trips, we’ve been to the beach a bunch of times and we have even made a very long trip to Nanny and Poppas. Luke really wants to know why Nanny and Poppa live so far away! Now we are getting ready for the last week of summer with our annual family trip to Myrtle Beach South Carolina!

Where we going Luke?
Canada!
Sure we’re not going to Toronto
Yes Toronto, then Canada to see hockey!
Sure we’re not going to the drs?
No hopitile, we get up very early and drive to Canada for hockey!
We in fact did wake up very early but we did not watch hockey! Instead Luke had a very quick checkup with his transplant team. Everyone is happy with how he is doing. Grew a few inches, gained a few pounds and no major concerns with his bloodwork. Afterwards we walked to the store and park to waste some energy, had a little outdoor lunch and headed back home before the traffic!

Today is McHappy Day!
Our family spent 122 days at Ronald McDonald House Toronto while Luke waited for a liver transplant. It was our home away from home. Luke learned how to walk there, we celebrated Christmas, New Years and Valentines Day there, we enjoyed so many yummy meals, we shed some happy tears and a few sad tears there, but most of all we meet some amazing families, staff and volunteers! We can’t thank Ronald McDonald House enough for everything they did for our family.
Don’t forget to treat yourself to McDonald’s today! Proceeds from all purchases go to Ronald McDonald House to help families with sick children.

Early morning trip to Toronto for a couple of quick appointments so we decided to make it a fun day!
It was Lukey and momma day at the Aquarium! He ran for pretty much the entire 3 hours we were there, luckily he’s not a fast runner and gets distracted easily! He loved all the different “pishes” as he calls them but the sharks were his favourite! At the end of the day I asked him what was his favourite part of the day and his response “the slide”. The aquarium was amazing and I’m sure we’ll be back!
