Our team in Gaza developed and 3D printed this customized pressure mask prototype to support patients recovering from severe facial burns. Created in collaboration with an organization providing burn treatment and rehabilitation, the mask is designed to apply consistent, targeted pressure during healing to help reduce scar formation & support better long-term recovery outcomes.

By co-developing and locally producing this mask with partners in Gaza, we’re demonstrating a model where essential medical tools can be designed, adapted, and manufactured closer to where they’re needed. Instead of relying on external supply chains or one-size-fits-all solutions, this kind of workflow helps build local technical capacity so treatment teams can iterate on designs, respond to patient needs in real time, and gradually expand what they’re able to produce independently.

Sometimes, changing how we build things changes what we believe is possible.
