You don't have to be overweight to think about your health.
For years we've been trained to use the bathroom scale as a health report card.
But health is much bigger than weight.
Every day we're exposed to substances through our:
🍔 Food
💧 Water
🌬️ Air
🧴 Personal-care products
🧹 Household products
📦 Plastics and packaging
Our bodies aren't helpless against this. We have sophisticated systems involving the liver, kidneys, lungs, digestive tract and skin that continuously process and eliminate waste and many compounds we're exposed to.
That's why I don't think wellness should simply be about becoming thinner.
It's about supporting the systems that keep us healthy.
Eat more whole foods.
Drink enough water.
Move your body.
Sleep.
Get enough protein and fiber.
Reduce unnecessary exposures where practical.
You don't need a perfect environment.
You need to give your body the raw materials it needs to do the job God designed it to do.
Health is an inside job. 🌱
