A client I’m currently working with. He’s had feet related issues since he was a teenager. Custom orthotics, has to have corns on the bottoms of his feet shaved off monthly at the podiatrist, low back pain, can’t walk long distances etc etc.
What jumped out to me were his double valgus feet (major), shoulder imbalance, pelvic imbalance, pelvic rotation, thoracic rotation, all of which are compensations by his brain to keep him from falling over. (Tension = Stability)
What was really telling though, were his eyes. He is Right handed and right eye dominant (GOOD), but his left eye was actually better at converging to the root of the nose…
So we have to address this “neurological disorganization” first if we truly want to see progress in his overall posture and eliminate these muscular compensations permanently.
