As we move into June, we begin shifting into the energy of the Fire element in Traditional Chinese Medicine 🔥

Connected to the Heart, joy, vitality, and emotional balance, this season invites us to slow down, support our nervous system, and reconnect with ourselves.

When Fire energy feels out of balance, we may notice overwhelm, restlessness, emotional reactivity, or difficulty sleeping.

Practices like Shiatsu, Reiki, meditation, and energy healing can help support balance, grounding, and overall wellbeing during this seasonal transition 🌿

As we close out May and move through the energy of spring, this is your reminder to check in with your body, your mind, and your nervous system🌿

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is connected to the Wood element and the liver and gallbladder meridians, which support flow, movement, emotional balance, and decision making.

When out of balance, we may notice:
Tension in the neck, ribs, or hips
Irritability or frustration
Restless sleep
Headaches
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally reactive

This season invites us to soften what feels tight, release what feels stagnant, and create space for movement and renewal.

People often ask me how I maintain my energy while holding space for others through Reiki, Shiatsu, retreats, teaching, and healing work.

The truth is… I intentionally return to myself every single day.

For me, self care looks like grounding before and after treatments, meditation, movement, nourishing food, hydration, rest, receiving my own treatments, and spending time in nature with my dogs and cats 😅

It also means protecting quiet time.
Honouring my boundaries.
Checking in with my emotions honestly.
And continuing my own healing journey instead of believing I should already be “fully healed” because I help others.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that healers are still human.

We feel deeply.
We move through seasons of growth, exhaustion, expansion, grief, joy, and transformation too.

Because the more connected I am to myself, the more present, grounded, and authentic I can be for others.

And most importantly…
when we give, we must also allow ourselves to receive. ✨
