To my dear clients,

As most of you know, I was scheduled to be off work for my jaw surgery. I was very disappointed to find out two weeks ago that it needed to be postponed. I wondered what on earth I would do as I had 8 weeks of clients blocked off and all going to other stylists for the short term. Two days later, we were in saskatoon for our daughters scoliosis check-up, and the surgeon had a bit of a 🎤 drop moment she shared with us. Sadie needs major spinal surgery (2, in fact) in the quickest manor possible. This news has now turned into my full-time job as I navigate the Canadian/USA/Germany healthy care systems.
I ask for your patience as I am away learning a whole new way of life, and I ask for your prayers. We are praying that BC childrens Hospital will accept Sadie so we can stay on Canadian soil, but we trust that the best outcome imaginable is aligning in perfect order. We must be patient.
I was fully reminded many, many times in the past two weeks that there is a greater plan and to trust the process.
Please feel free to text me to see if there are any openings, but be patient if I do not return your message promptly. The near future for Higher Level Beauty will be a play by ear process as I put my family first. Thank you for understanding and being supportive.

I look forward to life being somewhat boring and happy so our doors can remain more consistently open for appointments.

Supporting local does so much more than you might understand. It means you are supporting a local family, their needs are met because of your choice to support them instead of big box stores. It allowed me to get new tires today from another local shop, Graham's Tire, who I might add was above 10 on the scale of FAST and wonderful customer service. It allow's me to support a local new figure skating academy each month, not to mention, allowing my daughter the ability to skate as often as she does. It allows us to support our local grocery store more often ....do you see the ripple that happens when the focus is on supporting local?
I hope this encourages you to think a little longer and see if you can support local on your next purchase. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are beyond grateful for your support.

Cute photo of Polly that has nothing to do with this post. I would like to remind you in this busy season that staying true to your boundaries are so important. Especially if you are in the service industry where you give give give. Remember this next line.
You sitting and enjoying a tea, or exercising, or switching your bedding, or doing whatever you need to keep yourself filled up, is the perfect reason to say no or that you are too busy that day for the request being asked of you.
You and your energy are top priority. It is not an easy thing to do when you are a giver and a pleaser, but trust me...in my many years in this industry, I have learned the importance.
