Fall course update!
Fairways, every single one is able to be cut with the reel mower and are getting cut regularly. We started the season cutting at just over an inch, currently cutting at just over .65 of an inch. Next season we'll be dropping the reels to cut at .4 of an inch. We'll be cutting them (and open for business) until the frost comes and they go dormant.
Greens. Our timeline for getting them down to .2 by the end of August was delayed. As much as we were sanding and fertilizing, they just didn't want to fill in. We let them grow out the last 3 weeks and they're currently nice and lush. We're cutting them down to .45 of an inch. INCLUDING 2,7,8 AND 9! Meaning all our greens will be at the same height. Next week we'll be taking them down 25% and so on until the frost comes and they go dormant. Next season we should be on .2 of an inch right out of the gate, which is what we plan to keep them at. Sanding/hardening them off will be the next steps next season.
Rough. We're knocking back and hogging the long stuff so it doesn't fold over over the winter. Next season it will be at 1.25inches. Finding stray shots will be so much easier.
Next season we're planning even more live entertainment. Social gatherings and tournaments. Website is in the works to make it easy to purchase our golf packages and lessons over the Christmas season! Stay tuned for that!
