Gathering together is part of our nature. Yet does it make you uneasy?
Whether it’s 2, 200, or 2,000 women, gathering together, online or in person, is as natural to us as breathing. Women have done so for thousands of years: to learn, heal, create, and weave life together.
Even if you’re someone who says, “Not me,” listen a little more deeply.
I’m an introvert-extrovert and a highly sensitive person, so I understand the need for solitude, space, and recalibration. Yet beneath that genuine need, many women carry another layer: hesitation, caution, even fear of being with other women.
Why?
Because generations of patriarchal conditioning and internalized misogyny have shaped how women relate to one another. It can show up as gossip, comparison, competition, or the lingering impact of wounded mothering…the critical eye, words, or energy that left us feeling unsafe to fully be ourselves.
Over years of holding women’s circles and healing spaces, I’ve witnessed how deeply these wounds run. I’ve walked this healing path myself.
Creating spaces where women can arrive as they are, soften their defenses, and experience genuine, non-judgmental connection is a passionate thread running through UNTAMED’s work.
This doesn’t mean we avoid discomfort. Healing often asks us to meet our triggers, grief, and tenderness. But that becomes possible when we feel respected, supported, and held.
We are relational beings. We need spaces to gather, witness one another, and heal the sisterhood wounds that still live within our culture.
