Over the last few months, I've been unusually quiet about something that has been weighing heavily on me.
As many of you know, I own and operate Beautiful You Laser Inc. Like most small business owners, I wear a lot of hats every single day. I'm a business owner, a mom, a wife, a service provider, a marketer, a cleaner, a receptionist, and lately, someone trying to navigate a financial situation I never imagined I would find myself in.
I think many people assume that if you hire professionals- accountants, bookkeepers, advisors, lawyers- that everything behind the scenes is automatically being handled correctly. I believed that too.
What I've learned is that no matter how much you trust someone, no one will ever care about your business as much as you do.
Over the past year, I've discovered issues that have left me dealing with financial consequences, stress, uncertainty, and countless hours trying to untangle things that I thought were already taken care of. There have been days where I've felt overwhelmed, frustrated, and honestly scared about what the future might look like.
As business owners, we often share our wins. We post the busy days, the beautiful treatment rooms, the client transformations, and the milestones. What we don't often share are the moments when we're sitting at our kitchen table late at night trying to figure out how we're going to fix a problem we didn't see coming.
This experience has taught me some difficult lessons.
Ask questions.
Review everything.
Understand your numbers.
Don't assume someone else is checking the details.
And never be afraid to advocate for yourself, even when you're told everything is fine.
While this has been one of the most challenging periods I've faced as a business owner, it has also shown me how incredibly grateful I am for the community that continues to support Beautiful You Laser Inc.
Every appointment booked matters.
Every referral matters.
Every facial, microneedling treatment, laser session, and service booked with any member of our team matters.
Even when my own schedule is full, choosing to book with one of the amazing women who work here helps support the business as a whole more than you probably realize.
Small businesses don't survive because of one good day. They survive because of loyal clients who continue to show up month after month, year after year.
So today, I simply want to say thank you.
Thank you to every client who trusts us.
Thank you to every person who recommends us to a friend.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Beautiful You Laser Inc. through the good seasons and the difficult ones.
Your support means more than I can put into words, and right now, it's making a bigger difference than you know.
Here's to learning hard lessons, moving forward, and continuing to build something worth fighting for.
