What better way to enjoy the summer than a day out with the Physio Spot team? ⛳️☀️

This summer, our team got together at for a staff social filled with some friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a chance to show off our golf skills!

It was a great chance to step away from the clinic, spend some time together, and enjoy the amazing team we have at The Physio Spot. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

🎥 GETTING TO KNOW THE PHYSIO SPOT

Meet Alyssa, one of our physiotherapists working at both our Markham and Stouffville locations! 👋

Alyssa is a pelvic health and orthopaedic physiotherapy provider who enjoys helping patients feel stronger, move with confidence, and get back to the activities they love.

She also leads our Postpartum Exercise Class at our Stouffville location, helping new moms safely rebuild strength and confidence following pregnancy. 🤰💪

Alyssa completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto after earning her Honours Bachelor’s in Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology from McMaster University. She has also completed the Level 2 Upper and Lower Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program.

And she’s not slowing down anytime soon! 📚 This fall, Alyssa will be starting her PhD at the University of Toronto, continuing to expand her knowledge and contribute to the physiotherapy profession.

Outside of the clinic, Alyssa stays active through basketball, volleyball, and running, and is passionate about giving back to the physiotherapy community.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Nethun to The Physio Spot team!

Nethun completed his Master of Physical Therapy at Western University after earning his Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. Before becoming a physiotherapist, he worked as a personal trainer and youth sports coach, developing a strong foundation in exercise, injury prevention, and helping people of all ages achieve their goals.

Inspired by his own experiences recovering from sports injuries, Nethun pursued physiotherapy to help others get back to doing what they love. His clinical experience includes post-surgical rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, and in-home physiotherapy for older adults, giving him a well-rounded, patient-centred approach to care.

Nethun combines evidence-based treatment, hands-on therapy, and individualized exercise programs to help his patients move better, recover faster, and return to the activities that matter most.

Outside the clinic, you'll likely find him watching basketball and cheering on the Toronto Raptors! 🏀

We're excited to have Nethun on the team and can't wait for you to meet him!

Dr. T is a Doctor of Chiropractic who combines evidence-based chiropractic care, hands-on manual therapy, and active rehabilitation to help patients move better, recover from injuries, and get back to doing what they love.

She has advanced training in:

✔️ Concussion management & vestibular rehabilitation
✔️ Medical acupuncture
✔️ TMJ (jaw) pain & dysfunction
✔️ Foot & ankle biomechanics
✔️ Athletic movement assessment

Dr. T is passionate about empowering patients through education, giving you the knowledge and tools to manage pain and improve your long-term health.
