As we head into summer, keep these tips in mind to beat the heat!
Hot weather can be more than uncomfortable, it can be dangerous. Before heading out in the heat, take a moment to run through these simple heat safety essentials.
Stay hydrated, limit your time in the direct sun when possible, and check in on family, friends, and neighbours.
If you or someone you know is showing signs of heat related illnesses, such as:
• Moist, warm, dry or hot skin
• Headaches, weaknesses, nausea, vomiting, and fainting
• Anxiety, dizziness or altered behaviour (irritable, aggressive, unusual)
• Rapid or shallow breathing
Call 911 in case of emergency. Our teams are out in the community and ready to help whenever needed.
Places to cool down and hydrate are available throughout the city:https://www.saskatoon.ca/sites/default/files/media/documents/Cool%20Down%20Locations_11x17_2026.05.26.pdf
Stay cool and stay safe, everyone! ☀️
