A heartfelt thank you to Amber Maisonneuve and her daughters from Bloom & Rise Home Bakery, who generously created and donated six beautiful bouquets for our residents.
The bouquets have been placed throughout our dining rooms, where residents can enjoy a little extra colour and beauty during their meals each day.

A Sweet Treat for our Team!
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Meagan Munroe and Findlay MacDonald from Finoenix Farm for their generous donation of fresh sweet corn for our team members to enjoy. To share the donation across the home, winners were drawn from each department, and the 15 dozen cobs of corn were divided among them. It was a wonderful surprise and a reminder of the generosity and community spirit that surrounds Maxville Manor.
Thank you, Meagan and Findlay, for thinking of us. Your kindness is truly appreciated!

As our redevelopment moves ahead, we continue to thank and celebrate those who are making it possible.

This month we are proud to celebrate Joanna VanderWielen’s 98th birthday (August 9th) and recognize her for her generous contribution to our redevelopment while highlighting her incredible connection to Maxville Manor.

Joanna began volunteering at the Manor in the 1980s and has generously shared her time in many ways over the years, including Meals on Wheels, bringing Communion to residents, assisting in the chapel, supporting the CWL's work at Maxville Manor, and even today, writing birthday cards for residents. She fondly remembers the friendships she made with both residents and staff and the joy of spending time with them.

When asked why supporting Maxville Manor is important to her, Joanna shared that she wants to help ensure the Manor continues to be a welcoming home for residents and a place with updated facilities for those who work here.

Her advice for a long and happy life? "Work hard and keep busy."

On behalf of our Maxville Manor Family, we wish Joanna a very happy birthday and extend our heartfelt thanks to her and the entire VanderWielen family for their generous support of our redevelopment and their dedication over so many years.
