Letting go of people and places that no longer align with your best and highest good.
This can be one of the hardest things a person does.
Life happens, people grow and situations change. Not everyone is meant to stay in your life forever. Or they are not meant to be at the forefront. Releasing these people and places isn't a bad thing, especially if they are no longer bringing peace, comfort, or happiness to your life.
There isn't a one fits all but there are signs that creep up if you pay attention. Are you feeling depleted after your interactions? is being around them feeling like a chore? Are you feeling joy, happiness, uplifted from spending time with them? or are you noticing you are feeling drained and that's mentally or physically. If so, It might be time to make some adjustments.
Open honest communication with them and with yourself is best. This act is self-compassion. It means you are realigning your time and energy to match your current values. Making sure your environment and relationships are mutually supportive, healthy and balanced.
When you release what no longer serves your best and highest good this allows space for you to pour into yourself, to discover new hobbies , to pursue your passions, your health and wellness. This will also allow space for new connections to enter that are more of match with who you are now or who you are becoming. Some relationship (friends,family,lovers) can't get past the new version of you. They keep seeing you as the old version. They keep adding resistance to the new you. Holding you back from fully embracing the person you have become or becoming.
We are meant to grow, to evolve. Some people can and are willing to take this journey with you, and some are stuck in their ways. We often hesitate to do what we need to do because we cling to the potential of who we want them to be or could be verses who they actually are.
Key points: Really be honest with where you are at and where you are going. Take the time to listen to what you truly want in your relationships/ environment and how you want your life to be.
Then look at your life who and what needs to change. Some may wish to follow you on your new path and others not and that's ok. It might hurt because you love them but you need to love yourself more. In the end the only for sure constant thing is you. Use your discernment on what's best for you. This post is to bring awareness, a check-in on your life's journey. To focus on aspects that might be holding you back from being your best self.
Sometimes we coast and we feel our life isn't what it's meant to be but we aren't sure what or why. In the end only you can answer these questions. Following your Heart and Soul will help keep you feeling your best.
