This month we received a donation of $921.80 from the bottle recycling project at J-T Wine & Spirits ltd. We want to thank the Hollingsworths', Suzanne, and Coaldale Recycling for making all this work. This donation goes a long way for us to recognize and appreciate our local healthcare workers and we appreciate it so much.

May 19th is World Family Doctor Day, and we want to recognize and thank Dr. Akewe and Dr. Truong for choosing to practice in Milk River. Both doctors give so much of their time to ensure that we get the best possible care and that we receive our healthcare close to home. We are extremely grateful for all they do for our community, and we like to support them in any way we can. This is just one day of recognition, but we want them to know that we appreciate them all year long. Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!

Alberta Rural Health Week is May 25 - 29, 2026. It celebrates the dedicated healthcare professionals, local communities, and volunteers who ensure Albertans have access to care close to home. Our committee would like to thank all of our local workers and show our appreciation by giving away 5 - $100 gift certificates to the Park Place Mall. All workers, regardless of position, can enter to win by sending your name, job title, and place of work to [email protected]. Group emails are ok too. Entries must be received by noon on Sunday, May 31st. A random draw will be made at our regular meeting on June 2nd, and the winners names will be posted on this page soon after. Thanks again, and good luck.

May 11 to 17 is National Nursing Week and this year's theme is: "The Power of Nurses to Transform Health". This theme highlights the incredible impact nurses have in shaping health care, driving innovation, and advocating for patient-centred care.

We want to thank all of our nurses who work in and around Milk River for all that they do to keep us healthy, 24/7, 365 days a year.
You all contribute to keeping our healthcare local and we appreciate it so very much !!! Thank you..............
