☀️ Hot Days + Active Kids = Time to Stay Heat Safe!

Summer is made for outdoor fun, but high temperatures can increase the risk of heat-related illness in children.

Watch for early warning signs like dizziness, excessive fatigue, headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, or fainting. If your child develops these symptoms, move them to a cool place, offer fluids, and seek medical attention if symptoms are severe or don't improve.

💧 Keep kids hydrated
🧢 Wear lightweight clothing and a hat
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or indoors
☀️ Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day

A little awareness goes a long way in keeping your family safe all summer long.

Watch for:

• Dry lips or mouth
• Less frequent urination / dark yellow urine
• Irritability or unusual fatigue
• No tears when crying
• Sunken eyes

Call your pediatrician if:

• Symptoms aren’t improving
• Your child can’t keep fluids down
• Very low energy or hard to wake
• You’re unsure — that’s always a reason to call
