New oil painting 🎨 mostly painted from imagination with a few general references for water texture and the pose.

This one sat on my studio floor for a few years because it was too hard and my skillz needed an upgrade before I could finish it.

It also becomes a thing of accepting it's not perfect or exactly how I wanted it to be, which is okay sometimes.

I don't have this oil painting up yet as a print because it needs to be properly photographed. It is for sale though!

When I started tattooing, it very much felt like I was leveling up with each design.

These are not in exact order, but it's true the size and detail level really added complexity that affects the quality of the tattoo not to mention the endurance you need to do bigger work!

This is also the te****le approach I like to take to learning by trying different styles while learning techniques. I value constant learning;)

Btwn, the one on my wrist is my first!

HEALED 3-5 months 🌞 the second color tattoo I ever did that I was entrusted with by .

We both knew what we were getting into and I was still pretty slow of a tattooer, and I was intimidated by these colors that supposedly fade easy* and doing a clean butterfly with detail over a collar bone... Lots of sweat about. She was very patient and sat very well.

In this case, the client's skin has several conditions impacting the texture and healing time that I also have to work with. It's ok because having a relationship with a client means I actually know their skin and make notes.

*A different tattooer did a tattoo for her where such colors faded in 6 months and blamed the ink. :/

I didn't think I'd be doing this at 35! As for tattoo new year resolutions?

🖤 Guestwork - I'm actively looking for a good opportunity to work in a studio elsewhere, be it in the city, outside the city, further in Quebec or in Ontario or another part of Canada. I can also legally work in the EU and I'd love to go to Poland, France, Germany or Switzerland.

No Face bendy elbow tattoo on 🖤

We decided to go with a wraith-like tail instead of a smooth wispy one because it matched the texture and tone of her other tattoos better.

I essentially stenciled the head and freehand drew the rest with markers, then tattooed it. Whole process took about 4 or 5 hours.

The stipple shading is challenging to get smooth and of course a bit time consuming, but I love the effect.

Taking projects for the New Year of course, have a nice holiday 🌟
