I know that tensions are high these days. There’s so much going on in our world right now. People are scared, frustrated, anxious, nervous and angry. It’s hard not to pick up on all that mixed ball of energy and let it get to you. Our mental health is taking a hit while we ride this crazy rollercoaster.
This Sunday, try reaching out to a friend. Pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea, and have a chat. Not a text chat. A real phone/FaceTime or social distanced chat. Hear/see each other. Connect. Laugh, cry, vent or just shoot the s**t. I always feel better after a long convo with my bestie (and we often touch base several times a day) ♥️.

Be gentle and kind to yourself - and others - today.

So here we are on the last day of a crazy year. Don’t know where the time went and quite frankly, not too sure what happened. Everything’s a blur, and maybe that’s for the best. My family is safe. My family is healthy. My family has lots of love. We’re fortunate to be in a beautiful setting, wind in our faces and sand under our feet. There’s a lot of scary in the world right now; some days I get overwhelmed by it and others I manage to take it all in stride.
As I browse everyone’s inspirational posts about looking back and facing forward, I realize that I just want to be still. Can’t change what’s behind me and don’t know what’s coming. So today, I choose stillness surrounded by the two most important people in my universe.

I hope you find a moment to be still today too. ♥️
