Most of the time, I notice we actually describe activation far more than regulation.

We talk about the tight chest, the racing thoughts, the overwhelm, the shutdown.

But regulation is quieter.

It’s the subtle moment your body stops bracing.
The breath that deepens without effort.
The shift you don’t always notice until after it has already happened.

It’s easy to miss because it doesn’t demand attention the way activation does.

But it’s just as important, maybe even more.

I wrote a full blog breaking this down in simple, real-life terms.

Allow me to introduce you to .

In my workshops, I don’t teach relationship “hacks.”
I help couples understand the deeper systems underneath their patterns.

Because arguments are rarely just arguments.
They are expressions of:
• attachment strategies
• survival responses
• emotional protection
• nervous system reactions

My work is structured around 4 core pillars:
nervous system regulation, attachment patterns, conflict & repair, and relational aliveness.

This is the foundation of Psykotango

a relational space within Psykolab dedicated to couples work, somatic exploration, and deeper emotional understanding in relationship. A different way of seeing relationships altogether.

If this resonates, follow us for more work on relationships, attachment, and somatic connection.

Trying to “fight” your anxiety often backfires.

When you treat anxiety like an enemy, your nervous system reads that as danger… and turns the volume up even more.

The goal isn’t to eliminate anxiety instantly.
It’s to show your nervous system that it doesn’t have to stay in overdrive.

We tense against what we feel,
as if resistance could bring relief.

But the real weight often comes from the fight itself.

When we allow the experience to unfold,
it may still hurt...
but it flows, instead of staying stuck.

Healing begins the moment your body is allowed to finish what it started.

Not rushed.
Not silenced.
Not pushed aside.

Every feeling, every reaction, every pause has a purpose. Your body isn’t working against you , it’s working for you, trying to complete a process that was interrupted.

Give it space.
Give it time.
Give it permission.

That’s where healing

Sometimes we feel the need to control everything around us… deadlines, kids, work, even emotions.

Here’s the thing: our nervous system uses control as a way to manage uncertainty.
When life feels unpredictable, trying to control outcomes is the body’s way of seeking safety.

The more we understand this, the more we can respond instead of react .
learning to trust ourselves, our body, and the process.

💡 Tip: Next time you feel the urge to control, pause and ask:

“What is my nervous system trying to protect me from right now?”

Understanding this is the first step toward helping your nervous system for an emotional balance.

Regulation isn’t about being calm all the time.

It’s about building the capacity
to notice what’s happening in your body
and to stay with your experience
with a little more space and support.

I’m offering a Nervous System Regulation Circle
a 6-week online group to explore simple somatic practices
and develop awareness of your nervous system patterns.

This is a space where:
• nothing needs to be fixed
• you can move at your own pace
• your experience is welcome as it is

✨ We’ll explore:
• grounding & orienting
• body awareness
• gentle movement

No experience needed , just curiosity.

👥 Small group (max 8 participants)
💻 Online (Zoom)
💲 Sliding scale: $250–$400

How do you move?

Do you ever rehearse conversations in your head before having them?

Many people do this in their relationships — imagining what they’ll say, how the other person might respond, and how they should react.

Often, this isn’t overthinking.

It’s your nervous system trying to protect you.

When past experiences have made conversations feel risky or unpredictable, the mind prepares in advance to avoid conflict, rejection, or misunderstanding.

It’s a way your system tries to create safety and control.

Understanding these patterns is the first step toward changing them.
