Don’t let the kettlebell twist you during the one-arm swing.
Because you’re loading only one side, the bell wants to pull you forward and rotate your torso.
Your job is to resist it.
During the setup and backswing, keep your shoulders relatively square, maintain a strong hinge, and create enough tension through your trunk that the kettlebell doesn’t dictate your position.
That’s one of the reasons the one-arm swing is such a great core exercise.
You’re not just producing power through the hips.
You’re also learning to resist unwanted rotation while staying connected and strong.
Fix the setup.
Own the hinge.
Resist the rotation.
Then produce power.
Strength is a skill.
