We’re so excited that LUVA™ is partnering with Myo Park Royal and Innovative Fitness West Van for their Summer Social Run Club series. 👟☀️

This isn’t about pace.

It’s about moving your body, meeting great people, getting some fresh air, and creating the kind of habits that help us stay strong, mobile, and active for the long game.

Because mobility isn’t built in a day.

It’s built through the small things we do consistently over time.

Whether you run 2km or 20km, you’re welcome here.

🤍 Good humans

☀️ Fresh air

👟 A little movement

😊 A lot of smiles

Huge thank you to the teams at and for bringing this community together.

I hope to see some familiar faces out there this summer. 🤍

For the past 18 months, LUVA™ has lived in conversations with women, notebooks full of ideas, in-person meetings, Zoom calls, formulations, and dreams of what might be possible.

Now it’s becoming real. 🤍

Last week, I stood inside the manufacturing facility watching our very first production run come to life.

It was one of those moments I’ll never forget.

Since then...

✨ Regulatory approvals complete

✨ Products officially in hand

✨ Website entering its final stages

✨ Founding Member kits being assembled

✨ First community partnerships launching

And very soon, our first Founding Members will begin receiving their 90-day LUVA rituals.

What has surprised me most isn’t how excited women are about the products.

It’s how excited they are about what LUVA products represent.

☀️Protecting their future strength, mobility, and independence

🌿 Staying active and capable for decades to come

🙌🏽 Continuing to say yes to the people, places, and adventures they love

Because that’s really what LUVA has always been about.

Freedom.

The freedom to keep hiking, travelling, exploring, playing, moving, and living life fully for decades to come.

Our Founding Member Circle officially closes on June 19th.

And I have a feeling the women who join us during this founding chapter will be very glad they did.

Because years from now, they’ll be able to say:

🤍 “I was there at the beginning.”

Join our Founding Circle today.

As we prepare for our Vancouver launch, we’re bringing on a small group of thoughtful part-time/project-based contractors to help us build LUVA™ 🤍

We’re currently looking for:

For someone incredibly organized who loves systems, follow-through, and keeping moving parts flowing smoothly behind the scenes.

✨ Customer Experience Coordinator
For someone calm, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about creating beautiful customer experiences.

✨ Community & Creator Researcher
For someone with a strong eye for authentic community influence, trusted voices, and meaningful Vancouver connections.

✨ Reviews, Insights & Playbook Coordinator
For a strong writer and systems thinker who loves turning customer conversations and feedback into meaningful insights and future growth learnings.

These roles are less about “perfect resumes” and more about thoughtfulness, emotional intelligence, organization, initiative, and genuinely caring about people ✨

If someone immediately comes to mind (or this feels like you), please DM me and I’d be happy to share more details.

The other day someone asked me,
“Laura, what actually is mobility health?” ...and Kristin Zerbin you were not the only one asking me this 🤣

And honestly, I loved the question because we talk about it so much with LUVA™, but I realized most women have never had it explained in simple, real-life words.

So here’s my very non-medical explanation 🤍

Mobility health is basically how well your body helps you move through your life.

Your:
🦴 bones help hold you up
💪 muscles help you stay strong and capable
🦵 joints help you bend, twist, squat, hike, walk, and move comfortably
🤸 flexibility and balance help you move with confidence
💧 hydration, recovery, and cellular energy help everything work together a little better

When those things are supported well… you simply feel more free in your body.

You can:
✨ get up off the floor without making strange little sound effects ;)
✨ carry groceries without your shoulders yelling at you
✨ hike, ski, golf, garden, travel, dance, pickleball, and keep up with life
✨ feel strong, steady, energized, and confident in your body

The interesting part?
Most women don’t think about mobility health until something starts hurting, stiffening, weakening, or feeling harder than it used to.

But in my 50’s, I started realizing I didn’t just want to “age well.”
I want to keep fully living well.
I want to hike mountains.
Carry my own suitcase. (well sometimes!)
Run trails.
Travel. (A lot!)
Play.
Move freely.
Continue doing the things that bring me joy and the everyday things that simply need to get done like errands, cleaning the house, and walking the pup.
Really just feeling strong in my body for as long as possible.

That’s what mobility health means to me.
Not perfection.
Not anti-aging.
Not becoming a professional athlete.
Just supporting our bones, muscles, joints, hydration, recovery, and long-term strength now…so we can keep saying YES to life later. 🤍

One of my takeaways from Vancouver Startup Week was this: women 50+ are still largely invisible in the startup conversation. 🤔

We celebrate 30 Under 30 and 40 Under 40, but I found myself wondering where the rooms, the lists, or even the conversations are that recognize women building after 50. Because we are absolutely out here. 👀

The data actually shows it. The average age of a successful founder is 45, and women aged 45 to 64 are one of the fastest-growing groups of entrepreneurs. This isn’t about a lack of women building. It’s about a lack of visibility.

I co-founded LUVA™ in my 50s, and I wouldn’t trade the timing for anything.

There’s a different kind of clarity now. I make better decisions, and I have a much stronger sense of what actually matters. I care deeply about building something meaningful, but I care just as much about how I feel while I’m building it. Strong, clear, energized, and still fully in my life.

It feels like we’re just at the beginning of seeing more women step into this chapter. Building thoughtful, grounded companies in their 50’s and beyond. Not trying to prove anything, just building well.

And maybe it’s time we start recognizing that. Or better yet, create our own version of it. 🙌🏽

If you’re building something in your 50’s, 60’s, 70’s+, I’d genuinely love to hear what you’re creating. I have a feeling there are more of us than anyone is talking about 🤍

Smiles,
Laura

Four years ago, we hosted an event at through .

Last week, I came back and was asked to be a panelist, this time building LUVA™ 🤍

The panel was The End of Hustle Culture: How Women are Building Startups that Last, and it felt like a very real reflection of how I’m choosing to build in this season of life.

At 52, co-founding LUVA has shifted my perspective. It’s not just about growth anymore, it’s about sustainability.

We created LUVA™ as a simple daily ritual to support strength, mobility, and energy for women in midlife. And building it has made one thing really clear to me:

If we want to keep showing up fully in our work and our lives, we have to support the body that’s doing it.

Not as a nice to have. As the foundation.

What stayed with me most was the honesty. We didn’t just talk about what’s working, we talked about the moments that stretched us, the missteps, and what it actually takes to keep going.

Grateful to share the stage with Kristin Zerbin , .hiddenrules, , , and to be guided by .

Somehow, disc golf turned into exactly the energy shift I didn’t know I needed this weekend 🥏

Sun was out, new discs unpackaged, a dense forest course to explore, pups in full happy mode and friends teaming up in playful competition.

Truly the kind of day that just fills your cup. Now cut to me, fully confident, sending my disc straight into a tree. Again and again 🌲😆 But progressively getting better with each hole.

There’s something about that beginner feeling that’s actually really exciting. A little awkward, a little humbling, a little messy, but full of joy.

And in that moment, another reminder of why I care so much about this. Because it’s not really about disc golf.👇🏼

It’s about being able to say yes when something new comes up. It’s about having the energy to try, the body that lets you move, and the confidence to be a beginner again. 🙌🏼

I know so many of us can feel those subtle shifts starting to creep in. A little hesitation when trying something new. Energy that feels different. Aches that linger longer than they used to. Recovery that just isn’t the same.

And yet… there’s still so much we want to say yes to. So much we want to experience, explore, and be part of.

This is exactly why I care so much about how I’m supporting my body right now. Not in a “be better” kind of way, but in a “I want to keep saying yes to things like this” kind of way.

Trying new things. Moving in different ways. Being outside. Feeling that energy.

Because you deserve that too 🤍

Have you tried something new lately? Or is there something sitting in the “maybe one day” pile?

Xx

Women’s health was never meant to be reactive.

At the upcoming Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Women’s Health Conference, the focus is clear: “lifestyle medicine, healthy aging, and prevention.”

Because waiting until something feels off isn’t working.

More women are starting earlier, supporting bone, muscle, and mobility before anything changes 🦴💪 especially in our 40’s and 50’s, when the body is still responsive and small, consistent actions actually add up.

That’s exactly why we created LUVA™ to simplify proactive health in real life.

Because it’s not just about living longer it’s about staying strong, mobile, and independent while you do.
