With extreme heat in the forecast, it’s important to take extra precautions to stay safe.

☀️ Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
🧢 Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and a hat when outdoors.
🏡 Stay in air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.
🚫 Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.).
👶👵 Check in on older adults, young children, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to heat-related illness.

Watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, and weakness. If symptoms worsen or someone becomes confused or loses consciousness, seek medical attention immediately.
