Spring Equinox (Ostara) is just a few days away. The Earth is awakening. We will finally say goodbye to winter. Watching the world turn colorful and green again is the best kind of therapy.

Tonight is the Full Crow Moon also known as the Worm Moon and the Sap Moon. Called the Crow Moon for the cawing crows around this time that signal the end of winter. As the earth thaws worms start to appear. And it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins.

The Spring Equinox is just around the corner, when both day and night are at equal length we are reminded to find our own inner balance. focus inward toward inner wisdom and self-analysis. This Full Moon is in the sign of Virgo, this will give us a keen eye for detail, we will see things and people and situations in our lives with crystal clarity, a light will be illuminated allowing us to see beyond the shadows. This is a time of cultivating and growing, just as the Suns energy and nature is doing at this time. Plant the seeds of new ventures, plan for the future, think about what it is you want and need and set about putting a plan into action. Use this energy for your own personal transformation, rebirth and regrowth.

If we struggle with our own anger or hatred, telling ourselves we shouldn’t feel this way, we will struggle to respond effectively to the anger of others, allow yourself to feel angry or upset, but don't let it take over, keep a balance. If we fear our own power, preferring to see ourselves as victim rather than creator we may succumb to the power wielded by others, adopting their thoughts and priorities, behaviors and lifestyles without discerning the right path for us. If we refuse to acknowledge our own inner selfishness that demands its own way no matter what, we may project it onto the world around us, pointing the finger of judgement and even becoming a bully. Don't suppress your feelings, embrace your light and your dark sides as one cannot exist without the other. We need both. Let go of guilt and allow yourself to feel what you're feeling without self-judgement.

Let the energy of this Full Moon wash over you and cleanse your spirit, use it to heal you both emotionally and physically. On March 3rd there will be a Total Lunar Eclipse also known as a Blood Moon, The Moon will turn blood red for about 1 hour 12 minutes and the whole process will take about 4 hours. The Sun, Moon and the Earth will be in perfect alignment. The Blood Moon is a symbol of a major change and a shift of energy is on its way.

You will need to look up when the Blood Moon will occur in your area as it will be at different times depending on where in the world you are and many parts of the world will get different aspects of the Blood Moon, some will get a Full Lunar Eclipse and some will get a partial eclipse and it may not be visible in some parts of the world.

Get ready for the Mercury Retrograde.

This is a time when Mercury appears to be spinning backwards. Mercury rules communication, technology, clear thinking, truth and travel, so when the planet goes retrograde, all those things go backwards. They start to get weird and tangled up.

It’s like everyone you know has suddenly gone mad. You might find yourself getting into bizarre arguments about nothing at all, being unable to finish sentences or barely even able to form a coherent thought. Your computer, phone and other electronic equipment is more likely to break. You could experience travel delays too.

Tonight is The Full Snow Moon so called because the last snows and frosts of winter will begin to appear around this time. The February Full Moon is also known as the Storm, Chaste, Quickening or Hunger Moon. It is our wake up call. During this time, all in nature is pure and full of potential. The hibernating creatures are beginning to slowly arouse themselves, quickening their heartbeats and coming out of their dormant period. Mother Earth is gently awakening full of new possibilities. The Snow Moon uses the same force upon us. The Full Moon falls on Imbolc making this an especially powerful Full Moon for fresh starts.

This Moon we will be feeling ultra-sensitive and emotional. We may find ourselves feeling strong emotions we don't even understand, happy and laughing one minute, teary and sad the next, we may experience weird and vivid dreams. Don't worry this will quickly pass.

There is a gentle pulling upon our consciousness at this time, we become aroused to the latent forces within ourselves, now is the time to turn the mirror in upon ourselves and see what is reflected. A time to grasp the buds of new paths and ideas and like nature, be prepared to welcome life anew.

February's Full Moon is in the sign of Leo, this is the sign of ambition, truth, passion and work, you should feel a rush of energy and want to get things done. Energies: New beginnings, renewal, and fertility.
Deities: Brigid, Gaia, Eros, Cares, and The Cailleach.
Crystals: Amethyst, garnet, onyx and bloodstone.
Herbs: Sage, jasmine, rosemary, lavender, chamomile and cinnamon.
Food: Dairy, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, bread, honey, and cake
Colors: Red, green, white, yellow and pink
Animals: Bear, deer, groundhog and sheep.

On your altar put budding flowers that are growing in the frost and snow. Put on nuts and seeds and light white, light blue and yellow candles. Use any crystals or herbs in the list above. Put on any crafts such as a Brigid's Cross and ribbons. Give libations of milk and honey to the Gods.

Today is Autumn Equinox also known as a Pagan holiday called Mabon when night and day are at equal length, it is mainly a harvest festival, it is the last harvest before winter comes. In old times it would be a time to start stocking up on fruit, wheat, corn and grain for the winter months ahead.

This is a time of transformation, The great wheel has turned as we pass into a new season and say goodbye to Summer. The earth is going through a major shift, where darkness will now start to take over light as the nights slowly start to get longer and days get shorter. Cold will slowly start to take over warmth and death will start to take over life as plants will wilt and trees will start to lose their leaves, fields will become baron and grey. wild animals will start to hibernate and gather food for the winter months.

Mabon is a time of thanksgiving, we thank the God and Goddess for all that we have and thank them for the harvest we see before us. The sap of trees returns back to their roots deep in the earth, changing the greens of summer to the fires of autumn, to the flaming reds, oranges and golds. We are returning to the dark from whence we came. The Goddess is radiant as Harvest Queen and the God finally dies with his gift of pure love with the cutting of the last grain, he will descend into the underworld, his last day on earth will be Samhain when a gate will open between our world and the underworld making the veil between our two world become thin.

We enjoy the abundance of fruit and vegetables at this time. It is customary to make stews made with root vegetables and to bake home made bread and pies, we would have a big family meal and invite friends and neighbors to join us, drinking cider and apple juice.

On Mabon we adorn our altars with pumpkins, nuts, corn, wheat, squash, fruits and any other seasonal fair and any falling leaves, pine cones or acorns we may find to honour the season and to thank the God and Goddess for the wealth of harvest bestowed upon us. Light candles with Autumn colours of red, orange, purple, white, brown or gold. Also candles of black and white, black to represent the God and white to represent the Goddess. The alter will bring luck and protection. When lighting the candles ask the Goddess for her blessings and the God for protection for the colder, darker months to come.

Mabon is a transition for the Triple Goddess as she goes from her mother phase to her crone phase, her final phase from her journey of the year.

The Autumn Equinox is a time of balance, of both light and dark, it is a time to look within ourselves and balance our thoughts and emotions and to find balance in our lives. To embrace our dark and our light equally as one cannot exist without the other. it is when we stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Mabon reminds us of the cycle of life, death and rebirth. As we go into the dark half of the year, we also know that Spring and Summer will be upon us again and life will flourish once more.

Tonight is the New Moon in the sign of Ta**us bringing with it a very intense period of new discoveries and new awakenings. Truths will be spoken and what was hidden will now be uncovered. So much of what has been suppressed is coming to the light, This New Moon is about truth and seeing what is really there and not what we want to see.

Tonight's New Moon is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Bull. It's time to enjoy life's simple and physical pleasures, savor good food and enjoy activities that bring us in touch with nature and with our bodies. It's time to stop and smell the roses and to become more aware of what makes us feel comfortable and secure. With this potent Ta**us energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It's time to make some solid yet realistic plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings.

This will be an emotional New Moon, Your feelings may become overwhelming, you may feel a flood of different emotions all coming at you all at once, you may even find yourself becoming empathic and feeling others emotions. We may find that we have been carrying around a lot of heavy emotional energy that belongs to our friends, lovers or relatives and we will need to recognize that it is time to try to off load it and to stop feeling responsible for how other people feel.

Look at the beauty in our lives and be grateful for all you have. Try to stay positive and steer clear of negativity, look at the good things in your life and look at how to improve the bad things. Ta**us gives us strength so now is a good time to get any tough jobs done you may have been putting off.

Use this New Moon to grow both materialistically and spiritually. Nature is giving us so many gifts at the moment don't be afraid to take them and to dream of bigger and better things, ask for more, do more, be more. Look at what may be holding you back and get rid of it. This is a powerful time of healing and cleansing our spirits, to release the old and stale energy to allow a new and more positive energy in.

Ostara Blessings to all. Today is the Spring Equinox when night and day are both at equal length. If you go out late afternoon you might just catch the rising Moon in the sky at exactly the same time the Sun is about to set. Early in the next morning you can also see the Moon in daylight just as the Sun is rising. In between these two events is a period of complete balance between day and night, Sun and Moon, masculine and feminine, light and dark, God and Goddess.

This is a special point of balance, on this day light and dark are equal, but the light is now surpassing the dark as days will grow longer and nights shorter, warmth is taking over cold, life is taking over death, today we truly say goodbye to winter.

This is a time of major transformation for the earth. The great wheel has turned as we pass into a new season. We notice new buds forming on branches, the birds will start returning and animals will come out of hibernation, flowers will start to shoot up and fields and grass will become lush and green.

The young horned God is growing stronger and the Goddess is in her maiden form. The young Sun God takes notice of the Maiden Goddess and the stirrings within them seem to be felt in all living creatures. All the world seems renewed, refreshed and bursting with possibilities
Ostara is an Anglo Saxon and Celtic fertility festival worshiping the Goddess Ostara or Eostre as she is also known. Eggs and rabbits are her fertility symbols. The egg resembles new life and birth and the rabbit signifies fertility.

The Horned Sun God also known as The Oak King or the Lord of Light, the God of the waxing sun and the Gods Pan, Cernunnos and other Sun Gods such as Sol, Apollo, Attis, Ra and Horus are also worshiped on this day.

Eostre is the Saxon version of the Goddess Ostara. Her feast day was held on the first Full Moon following the Spring equinox. this is the identical time as the Christian Easter when Jesus was said to be resurrected from death, they adopted this day for Jesus resurrection when they were converting Pagans into Christians. The Sun God Attis who was born via a virgin birth is resurrected each year during the time on the Spring Equinox. The Goddesses Ishtar and Persephone were also both resurrected from death on Ostara.

Ostara is a time of newness and rebirth, it is a time to clean up and clear out all our old junk, this is where we get the term spring clean from. But it isn't just clearing out our homes it is also clearing out the junk and negative energy that we carry around with us. Let the new energies of the Sun and the Spring rejuvenate us. Welcome in the new, breath new life into you and look to the future with hope and optimism.

On your alter add anything to represent and to honor the season such as budding flowers like crocuses, daffodils, lilies, daisies, acorns and seeds. Ostara is a time of balance between light and dark, so symbols of this polarity can be used. Use a God and Goddess statue, a white candle and a black one, a sun and moon etc.. This is the time of year when animals are bringing forth new life too, so put a basket of eggs on your altar, it is customary and fun to paint them bright colours before adding them, add figures or pictures of new lambs, chicks, rabbits, calves etc. Add a chalice of milk or honey, milk represents the lactating animals who have just given birth and honey is long known as a symbol of abundance and ever lasting life as honey never spoils or goes off, also bees will start to come out now, offer these as a libation to the God and Goddess..

The Spring Equinox is a time of balance of both light and dark, it is a time to look within ourselves and balance our thoughts and emotions and to find balance in our lives. To embrace our dark and our light equally as one cannot exist without the other. This is a time to stop, relax and enjoy our personal achievements, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Blood Moon can be seen in North and South America and partial in the UK and Europe while many other parts of the world will get to see some aspect of the Lunar Eclipse. The time will vary depending on your time zone this should be easy to find online.
