Here are some clips of our program the last couple days. The youth learnt the symbolism of war paint and why we use war paint on our horses. We also focused on building relationships with the horses before we start riding✨ a successful week✨

Another successful day with Ravens Nest at Star 6 Ranch! Connecting kids with their culture, ancestral roots and the horse is what makes Nakoda Connections and Ravens Nest so meaningful.

We are so honoured to be recognized by the Rotary Club of Canmore for the work of Nakoda Connections Ltd. and the Îyârhe Nakoda Equine Healing Program. 🪶🐴🪶

This moment is truly meaningful for us, because this program is not an overnight success, it has been years in the making. Since 2011, we have been shaping, moulding, learning, rebuilding, and continuing forward, always guided by community, culture, and the needs of our children, youth, and families.

✨To be given a platform like this to share our story reminds us that the hard work matters. The foundation has been laid, and although we still have much work ahead, we are proud of the direction we are going and the healing that continues to grow from it. ✨

Îsnîyes to the Rotary Club of Canmore for inviting Colleen and I to speak. It was such an honour to bring to life the dedication, vision, and years of effort that have gone into this program. 🪶❤️🧡🤎🤍🪶

Today, we acknowledge, honour, and respect the Indigenous and non indigneous warriors both past and present who have shown great courage and strength in defending our lands, peoples, and cultures. Soldiers have served with pride and resilience in times of war and peace. Reflect and show gratitude today, for those before us. Lest we forget♥️
