Last night’s Beltane & Full Moon Reiki session with one of my beautiful monthly clients 🌕🔥✨

I bought Bridget a beautiful book called Children’s Intro to Ostara by Liam Carew, and it’s opened the door to such sweet conversations about honouring spring and welcoming the returning light. 🌸☀️

It teaches the importance of celebrating renewal — embracing the awakening of the earth, the longer days, and the abundance that comes with this season of rebirth.

We’ve been bringing those teachings to life in simple, magical ways — making homemade sidewalk chalk and decorating the neighbourhood one driveway at a time, creating sun catchers to welcome the sunlight into our home, and building fairy houses to place in our garden. 🧚‍♀️✨

Not only does it spark creativity, it gives us time to slow down, connect, and celebrate the beauty of this season together.

Ostara reminds us that this is a time of fertility, abundance, and new beginnings — and we’re choosing to honour it with joy, creativity, and a little everyday magic.

I honor the old ways, the wisdom of my ancestors, and the sacred rhythm of life, death, and rebirth. Today we give thanks to Gaia and the returning sun for the life stirring all around us.

May the seeds we’ve planted—seen and unseen—begin to bloom in their own divine time 🌱

Consent in Spirituality
Let’s talk about consent in spirituality. This is a very important topic that is not discussed enough.

You absolutely need someone’s consent to enter their energy. It does not matter what your intentions are. It does not matter who they are. It is not debatable. You need consent.

If you are doing a reiki session for a client, you need their consent to do a reading. They only consented for reiki. You give them what they booked for. Consider offering an intuitive reiki session as well as a reiki session. This way they know what they are booking.

If you are out and see someone’s loved one who has passed, you do not tell them. They didn’t ask and did not consent.

If you are out and get a psychic messages about someone, you do not tell them. The didn’t ask and did not consent.

You see where I am going with this!? Consent. Consent. Consent. You do not know where someone is at in their life and you may think you are helping but that may just trigger them.

It is like a hug. They are great and feel great to a lot of people but not everyone! You may mean well when you give one to someone but did they want one? Are they comfortable receiving one? Did they ask for one?

We may have good intentions but we must respect boundaries. I would also encourage anyone who is receiving messages openly from spirit to start a practice of setting their own boundaries. I have been doing this many years and rarely do I get messages without asking spirit for them. My boundaries are strong and I have a good grounding, centering and shielding practice. If by chance I did see someone’s departed loved one or receive a message from spirit, I do not say anything. They didn’t ask, therefore I do not have consent.

This post wasn’t meant to offend anyone. It is meant for awareness. 💜
