We have some shuffling going on around here! (All good things but we want to keep you up to date!)

Amanda Wanless, RMT is having a baby 🥳, she will be off for a couple of months starting the middle of June.

And, just like everyone else, the rest of the RMTs like to take some well deserved vacay time ☀️

That being said, it’s advised to get your summer apts booked in ahead of time! I, Rebekah Braeker RMT, have added some hours to my work schedule to help cover some absences, that schedule is available for booking online.

Aaaand, come August, we have Jeremy Bull RMT starting with a FULL TIME schedule which is available now for booking.

Parasites 🦠

These interesting creatures can wreak havoc on your body. They can cause bloating, constipation, brain fog, teeth grinding, sugar cravings - amongst other undesirable side effects!

The main question is: how do parasites get inside of us?

It could be as simple as owning a pet, eating meat, including fish, living on a farm or even just going to a park to play.

Addressing parasites and pathogens allows your body to process and enter the next stages of detoxing.

We are so so excited to welcome our newest RMT! Jeremy has a list of specialties and he’s great at what he does! Very professional and eager to help our clients with their healthcare journey 🤍

A bit about him ⬇️

Jeremy Bull, RMT and Reiki Practitioner

Jeremy graduated with distinction from Trios College in 2024 and has been passionate about helping clients improve their overall wellness through massage therapy ever since.

He believes in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment where clients can relax, heal, and feel supported throughout their treatment journey. Jeremy has worked in both clinical and luxury spa settings, bringing together a relaxing touch with effective therapeutic techniques offering a wide range of services including Traditional Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Cupping and Reiki. Each treatment is refined to meet the individual needs and goals of every client.

Outside of the clinic, Jeremy enjoys Archery, BBQing, and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Jeremy looks forward to helping clients achieve balance, recovery, and long-term wellness through personalized care.

The negative effects that continuous alcohol and cigarette consumption has on the lymphatic system is astronomical. It has a snowball effect with your body’s systems.

It impairs the body’s ability to clear fluid ->
Leading to chronic swelling -> Which then increases lymphatic leakage -> Causing tissue damage -> Then leads to chronic inflammation -> Which causes a weakened immune system

I’m not here to tell you what to do. But I’ll point out what we know about the body and how it detoxes (or what impairs its natural way of detoxing).

Life is hard. Habits are hard to break. But if it’s possible to help your body recover from the overload that’s in your system, I’m here for that. I want to help in the ways I know how and the ways I know your body will respond to.

We know the ionic foot baths help to support and promote your lymphatic system. The same system that can be so clogged down with what we are putting in our body’s that sometimes it needs help to clear the way. I want to help with that.

Worrying causes so much stress. Our body’s hold onto that stress as it wreaks havoc on all our systems.

So what do we do?

Finding ways to help decrease the stress is great, we all need to have our ways of processing. (Ahem, massage therapy, ahem) 🙃

But, it’s also a good reminder to have shoved in your face that, yeah, you do worry a lot for someone who figures it out every time. It works out, it always does. Sometimes when you’re lost in the jumble of a stressful situation it’s hard to step back and see that.

But, trust the process.
Take a breath.
Focus on the moment you’re in.
Let go of what you can’t control.
You got this.
You always do.
It WILL work out.
Let the worrying go.

Every massage therapist’s treatment is going to look different. We all treat in different ways, with different approaches and it’s all tailored to our clients specific needs. Our therapists here at Renew Life Therapies treat clients how they feel is the best suited based on the clients needs and their own scope of training and education.

There’s many ways to incorporate hydrotherapy (hot and cold therapies) into treatments. A few of our approaches are heated tables, thermaphores, ice packs, ice massage, hot and cold stone, and parafin wax.
HOWEVER, that being said, services such as a hot stone massage is an extra course to be educated in. It’s important for the safety of clients that the therapist has taken the course and knows how to incorporate the hot stones into the treatment safely and effectively.
A hot stone massage is offered only by our therapists that have taken the course and want to offer this service to our clients, with an additional charge associated.
Other forms of hydrotherapy are offered at no extra charge by all RMTs that incorporate it into your treatment depending on your specific healthcare situation.

The use of essential oils and muscle creams is based on what the RMT thinks is best and what the client is currently needing. Talk to your RMT about incorporating essential oils or muscle creams into your treatment, there is no extra charge and are included when needed.

Cupping is an additional educational course that RMTs take if they want to offer this service, so it’s not a service all RMTs offer.
Often times if we, the therapist, want to use a single cup on an area of the body where there is a stubborn trigger point etc. OR if we are wanting to introduce cupping briefly to a client that we think could benefit greatly from the treatment we will do so as included in our regular session for no extra charge.
However, if a client books a cupping massage with the intention of the session being focussed on cupping a large or multiple areas for the majority of a treatment then there is an additional fee associated that is noticed when booking this service.
