“You can’t get healthy in the same light environment that made you sick.”

I sat with that for two days. Here’s why it hit so hard. 👇

Your body doesn’t actually run on time. It runs on light.

Every cell you have is taking cues from the light around you to decide what to do : when to release energy, when to repair, when to make dopamine, when to wind down for sleep.

For all of human history, that signal was simple: bright, blue-rich light by day. Warm, dim, fire-lit darkness by night.

Then we rewired our entire world.

Now we live under bright, blue-heavy artificial light around the clock : ceiling bulbs, laptops, phones, TVs ... long after the sun goes down.

And your brain can’t tell the difference. It reads that 10pm scroll as high noon. So it keeps you alert when you should be calming, keeps cortisol up when it should be falling, and suppresses the melatonin that’s supposed to carry you into deep sleep.

Do that for years and your internal clock falls out of sync with the actual day. That’s not a small thing. That misalignment is now linked to mood, focus, energy, metabolism, and how your brain ages.

This is what the neurosurgeon meant. You can chase supplements, workouts, and routines all you want , but if you’re still soaking in the same artificial light that pushed your system out of rhythm, you’re trying to heal in the exact environment that broke the rhythm in the first place.

Get bright, natural light on your eyes in the morning.
Dim and warm everything after sunset. Let your evenings get genuinely dark again.

Built with 1900K Bonfire Technology, Glo Evening turns every screen and overhead bulb into the glow of a fire at sunset.

Keep working, keep socializing, and let your body produce melatonin at the right time of the day so you can get deep sleep and wake up feeling rested and energized.

The light problem is a lot more nuanced than simply protecting your eyes and avoiding screens one hour before bedtime.

Why?

Because light is the most profound force that controls every hormone in the body.

The right light at the right time enriches our well-being. ☀️

The wrong light at the wrong time, it's a public health issue at the asbestos level. 💡

🌕Harmonizer day lenses work with your biology — filtering the harsh blue light from LED bulbs and screens that causes eye strain and headaches, while keeping the healthy blue-turquoise light your body needs for focus, mood, and energy.

The sun doesn’t burn you. Your lifestyle does

I know how that sounds. Stay with me for a second.

You spend six months under office lights. Then one sunny weekend you drive to the beach, roll onto the sand at noon, and do everything you were told to do:

SPF 50. Reapplied every two hours.

And you still wake up peeling.

It’s totally understandable. Nobody taught you the other half of the story.

Here’s what most people never hear: in 2020 the FDA measured six common sunscreen chemicals in human blood. Oxybenzone came back at 500 times their own safety limit, from a single day of normal use.

Meanwhile your skin already makes its own sunscreen:

Melanin. It just needs to be trained gradually, the way your grandparents did it.

I wrote a full guide on what’s really in that bottle, the 4 rules for reading a clean mineral sunscreen label, and how to build your skin’s own protection before summer.

Save this for your next beach day and comment SPF and I will send you the free guide

Your body already knows how to sleep deeply.

Modern life just keeps interrupting the signal. 🌙

These are the wind-down habits swears by, and they line up with everything we teach at about getting back in sync with your natural rhythm.

Thanks for the gems, Kate 💜

Here’s what actually changes your nights:

☕️ Close the kitchen early
Chamomile before bed? Lovely. But stop eating well before you lie down.

When your body isn’t busy digesting, it can spend the night repairing and cleaning house instead. Late meals quietly steal that window.

❄️ Cool the room down
Around 65°F is the sweet spot. A drop in temperature is one of the cues your body uses to fall asleep and stay asleep. Kattie and her partner keep theirs right there.

💡 Dim everything after sunset
Bright light at night tells your brain it’s still midday.

Slip on your evening lenses once the sun goes down to harmonize with all the artificial light around you, then switch to the red lenses 1 hour before bed.

The lenses mimic firelight, the only light our ancestors had at night, so your melatonin can rise right on schedule.

💫 Try frequency for sleep
Kattie uses sound frequency and says it works wonders.

Curious about a frequency generator? DM .

Two more that punch above their weight:

💜 Get tech out of the bedroom. Charge your phone in another room. This space is for sleep, nothing else.

💜 Give your WiFi a bedtime too. Put your router on a timer so it powers down overnight and back up in the morning.

Don’t try all six tonight. Pick one. Then come back and tell me how you slept 👇

It’s March 2019 at 2am and my mother is staring at the ceiling fan.

She’s been awake since 10:30pm. She’ll still be awake at 5:00 am

This had been her reality for years.

She’d tried everything. Pills, teas, meditation, therapy, new mattresses, magnesium, melatonin.

Nothing held.

By 6am she’d be at the kitchen table, palms around a coffee mug she wasn’t drinking, just staring at the steam.

You could feel it walking into that kitchen.

The weight of years of lost sleep and the quiet grief of a woman who couldn’t remember what rested felt like.

That was my mom, 7 years ago.

On her birthday, November 16, 2019, I sat down at that same kitchen table.

I didn’t bring flowers.

I brought a pair of VivaRays glasses and two hours of everything I’d learned about how light runs our biology.

She tried so hard to listen. I could see her quietly wondering if this would finally be the thing.

7 nights later, she slept 8 hours straight for the first time in years.

Then it happened again. And again.

Today she’s 66. She sleeps like an angel, wakes up glowing, and has more energy than most women half her age.

Her skin changed, her mood brightened and her beautiful light came back.

Nothing in her diet changed.

Nothing in her supplements changed.

Just her light exposure.

If you’ve forgotten what rested feels like, save this and send it to the person you’re thinking about right now.

Then start with the simplest tool I know: protect your eyes from artificial light after sunset.

Comment Insomnia and I’ll send you 15% discount of the best glasses in the market.

Wired but tired? It’s not the work. It’s the light.

Every screen and bulb after sunset is screaming one thing at your nervous system: sun’s still up,stay alert.

LNo wonder the brain can’t downshift at 10pm.

The Evening lenses turn every light source into bonfire glow. 1900K. The same warm spectrum humans wound down to for 200,000 years before electricity.

Answer one more email. Still sleep soundly . ✨

The more sunscreens we use, the more skin cancer we see.

Sunscreen sales are up 36x in the last 30 years. Meanwhile, melanoma (the deadliest skin cancer) has nearly doubled since 1986.

66.2% of melanoma patients are deficient in vitamin D.

What does that tell you?

Melanoma patients aren’t getting sunlight. They’re bombarded with artificial light day and night.

How could sunlight cause cancer if the people getting cancer are sunlight-deficient?

A PubMed study literally titled “Vitamin D Deficiency Is Associated With the Worst Prognosis in Metastatic Melanoma” confirms it.

Yet millions slather sunscreen on themselves and their kids.

Most chemical sunscreens contain endocrine disruptors that are carcinogenic.

Trying to protect yourself from cancer by smearing on a product that causes cancer.

Meanwhile, the two natural sunscreens nature gave you, you ignore.

The first is melanin.

When you gradually expose yourself to sunlight, you build melanin and tan.

Here’s what’s wild: melanin is to humans what chlorophyll is to plants.

Dr. Arturo Solis Herrera, a Mexican physician, published a paper in Nature showing that melanin splits water molecules using light, the same way chlorophyll does inside a leaf.

That process separates hydrogen from oxygen and creates a steady stream of electrons your cells use to produce energy.

We essentially photosynthesize through the very thing most of us are terrified to build.

The second natural sunscreen? Melatonin. The hormone of darkness. The highest antioxidant in nature.

Expose yourself to artificial light after sunset and boom, your melatonin tanks. Your skin becomes sensitive. Your eyes become light-sensitive. Then you reach for the sunscreen and the sunglasses.

Want to break this cycle? Comment “guide.” I’ll send you the step-by-step process to build your melanin and melatonin.

After guide one, I’ll email you guide two, which goes way deeper into the practical steps. And no, this won’t cost you a thing. It’s free.
