We’re excited to welcome Margo MacLeod, Registered Massage Therapist, to the Restore Health and Sport team.

Margo is a recent graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and provides thoughtful, client-centered care focused on recovery, relaxation, and overall well-being. With a background in sports, she has a strong understanding of athletic performance, injury, and recovery.

Her treatments combine therapeutic massage with a calm, intuitive approach to help reduce tension, relieve discomfort, and support mobility. Margo has also completed additional training in cupping and gua sha, which can be incorporated into treatments when appropriate.

Margo is excited to be building her client base in the Valley, and we’re thrilled to have her joining the clinic.

We’re excited to officially welcome Jesse Van Blarcom, Registered Massage Therapist, to the Restore Health & Sport team!

A graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Jesse brings a unique blend of clinical skill and athletic insight to his practice. With over a decade in healthcare and certification as a personal trainer, he’s no stranger to understanding how the body works – and how to help it feel its best.

Jesse grew up right here in the Annapolis Valley, staying active through sports and now training for a triathlon (yes, he swims, bikes and runs!). His passion for helping others was sparked during his years as a Continuing Care Assistant, and today, he’s focused on deep tissue techniques and restoring functional mobility for clients of all backgrounds.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL? 👇

Is that you must remember that movement is crucial even when we are sore. Movement tells our brain that we are okay and safe. When we don’t move, our brain thinks something terrible is happening and pain will intensify because our brain’s number one goal is to keep us safe, even when it’s not life or death.

This means that gentle, consistent movement can help reduce pain and improve our overall sense of well-being. So if you want to manage your pain better, keep moving, but do it in a way that listens to your body.

We are welcoming, Kerry Sutherland, who is a Clinical Occupational Therapist, to our team.

She provides counseling in an accepting, trauma informed and compassionate manner. She works with you, drawing upon her experience of evidence based treatments to tailor strategies for you. She works alongside you to look at emotions, functional behavior patterns, and thoughts to help guide you towards effective changes you want to make.

Kerry holds a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from Dalhousie University and is a registered Occupational Therapist and certified clinician with the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. She has been working in mental health with adults in the public health sector for over a decade. During this time she has offered counseling and psychotherapy sessions covering stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, managing emotions and trauma.

Kerry is trained in many different treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Good Psychiatric Management, Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-T).
When not working, Kerry can be found running a trail, gardening, reading a book or spending time with her family.
