📖 Finding the Words: Working Through Profound Loss with Hope and Purpose
by Colin Campbell
When Colin Campbell lost his two teenage children to a drunk driver, he was plunged into unimaginable grief. In Finding the Words, he shares his deeply personal journey and challenges the belief that grief must be suffered in silence.
Offering practical guidance and compassionate insight, Campbell encourages an active approach to mourning—reaching out for support, honoring loved ones through meaningful rituals, and finding ways to express pain rather than suppress it. His message is one of hope: that even after profound loss, it is possible to carry those we love forward while continuing to live fully.

When you’re checking off your To Do’s, make sure you include the stuff that matters. Did you laugh? Did you feel gratitude? Did you do something that was difficult but good for you?
Did you do something fun, just because? Did you love? The list can go on and on. You do way more than you realize every day.

Renegade Grief: A Guide to the Wild Ride of Life After Loss
by Carla Fernandez

At first, there are phone calls, care packages, and people checking in. But after the services are over and the world moves on, there’s often a quiet expectation that you should move on too.
But grief doesn’t work that way.
In Renegade Grief, Carla Fernandez offers support for the stage of loss that many people aren’t prepared for — the loneliness, the disorientation, and the challenge of figuring out how to live alongside grief.
Drawing from her own experience losing her father and her years cofounding The Dinner Party, a peer-support community for people navigating major loss, Fernandez challenges the culture that treats grief as something to “get over.”
Instead, she reminds us that grief is profound, life-altering, and deeply human. Through stories, history, science, and compassionate insight, Renegade Grief encourages readers to approach loss with honesty, creativity, community, and care.
This isn’t a book about finding closure.
It’s a book about finding connection, meaning, and a way forward.
A powerful companion for anyone navigating life after loss.
