Reiki is a lot like Kintsugi.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold.
What I love about it is that the goal isn't to hide the cracks. The cracks become part of the beauty.
Many of us spend so much time trying to "fix" ourselves. We think that if we can just find the right answer, heal the right wound, or overcome the right challenge, then we'll finally be whole.
But the definition of heal is actually to make whole.
Not perfect.
Whole.
Life leaves marks on all of us. Loss. Disappointment. Heartbreak. Mistakes. Things we wish had gone differently.
The point isn't to erase those experiences.
The point is to keep going.
To gather the pieces.
To put yourself back together, however that looks for you.
Not because you'll be exactly who you were before.
But because you can become something new.
Something stronger.
Something wiser.
Something even more beautiful because of what you've lived through.
Reiki isn't about fixing what's broken.
It's about helping you reconnect with the wholeness that has been there all along.
✨ What if you stopped trying to be perfect and simply allowed yourself to be whole?
