With Summer coming to an end, The Nipigon District Family Health Team will be resuming our walk-in Mobile Health Clinic's! Our first visit will be in BZA at the BZA Medical Centre – 502 Spirit Bay Rd, Wednesday, September 23rd from 1:30-3:00pm.

Our services include:
• Blood Pressure Checks
• Vaccines(Pneumonia/Tetanus)
• Blood Sugar Checks
• On-site follow-up scheduling with healthcare providers
• A welcoming space to enjoy refreshments and conversation with other locals

We look forward to supporting the community’s health — one visit at a time!

In response to the Environment Canada Orange Level Air Quality Advisory, the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital, Red Rock Indian Band, and the Nipigon District Family Health Team (NDFHT) have come together to make a limited supply of N95 masks available to our communities.

If you, or someone you know, needs to leave home for essential reasons and would benefit from an N95 mask due to the ongoing wildfire smoke, masks are available for pickup at the Nipigon District Family Health Team: 123 Hogan Road, Nipigon.

If you are unable to leave your home because of the poor air quality and require a mask, please call 807-887-5252 ext. 4. We will do our best to arrange delivery.

For Red Rock residents: A limited supply of N95 masks has also been provided to the Township of Red Rock and are available at the Red Rock Municipal Office.

Continue to take precautions by limiting outdoor activities when possible, keeping windows and doors closed, and monitoring for symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath, or irritation from the smoke.

Please note that mask supplies are limited and will be available while quantities last.
