💥 MYTH BUSTED: Cracking Your Knuckles Causes Arthritis

We’ve all heard it before: “Stop cracking your knuckles—you’ll get arthritis!” 👀

The truth? Research has shown that cracking your knuckles does not cause arthritis. The popping sound you hear is simply gas bubbles releasing within your joints—not bones grinding together.

Nobleton Physiotherapy Registered Physiotherapist Michael Coccimiglio breaks down the science behind this common myth and explains what that cracking sound actually means.

While frequent joint cracking isn’t linked to arthritis, persistent pain, swelling, or stiffness may be worth getting checked out by a healthcare professional.

👉 Have you been told this myth before? Let us know in the comments!
