Being heard can change how we feel. 🧠👂
Learning to listen to ourselves can be just as meaningful.
Our thoughts, emotions, and brainwave patterns can all offer different clues about what’s happening beneath the surface. A QEEG Brain Map is one way to look at those brainwave patterns and add another layer of understanding.
Sometimes, awareness is where understanding begins.

I went into this thinking I was simply going to learn more about my brain.
I didn't expect it to become such an emotional experience.

After the brain mapping, my second consultation lasted almost 2.5 hours. We went through different patterns of brain activity and talked about how they may relate to the way I process information, attention, and emotional regulation.

For me, the most powerful part was connecting some of these patterns to things I've experienced for years.

I've always asked myself:
Why do I react this way?
Why do certain situations trigger such a strong response?
Why is it sometimes so hard to pause before reacting?

The consultation gave me a completely different perspective on those questions.

I was told that trauma-related patterns and ADHD-related patterns may be contributing to some of what I experience.

And instead of feeling like something is "wrong" with me, I actually felt relieved.

Because understanding yourself changes the conversation from "Why am I like this?" to "What can I do with this information?"

This is only the beginning of my brain-health journey, and I'll be sharing what I learn about neurofeedback and the next steps.

Have you ever discovered something about yourself that suddenly made your past behaviour make more sense?

Aging isn’t only about time. 🧠

Dr. Kian highlights three processes that can influence how the body handles stress and recovery over time:

⚡ Oxidative stress = increased cellular stress.
💧 Lymphatic dysfunction = less efficient fluid balance and waste clearance.
📈 Prolonged cortisol exposure = stress signalling that stays elevated for too long.

Aging is complex, but understanding what’s happening beneath the surface gives us a bigger picture than appearance alone.

Your brain doesn’t remember everything the same way. 🧠
Remembering a fact, recognizing a scene, and knowing how to tie your shoes can involve different types of memory.
That’s why forgetting a name and forgetting how to do a familiar skill aren’t necessarily the same kind of memory slip.

Your daily habits are only one part of the brain-health picture. 🧠
Movement, nutrition, and routines can support overall well-being.
At Elumind, tools like QEEG Brain Map, Neurofeedback, and Photobiomodulation (PBM) can offer another way to explore and support brain function. Understanding your brain can help make the next step more personal.

Your habits may start earlier than you think. 🔁
There’s a brain-based pattern behind how habits become more familiar and easier to repeat over time.
Once you know the four parts of the formula, pay attention to what happens right before the habit.
The time, place, feeling, or environment may reveal what keeps setting it in motion.

Different paths can still lead to the same hopes. 🌎🧠
Our brains are continually shaped by what we experience, practise, and navigate. For young people, opportunities to learn, connect, adapt, and feel understood can all become part of that growth.
What do you think every young person deserves more of while they’re finding their way?

Your brain doesn’t need a software update. It needs experience.🧠
Neuroplasticity means repeated learning and practice can strengthen certain brain connections over time.
Repetition helps make a pathway more familiar.
What’s something you’ve gotten better at simply by practising it?

"Just chill out!" We’ve all heard it, and we all know it’s easier said than done.
Dr. Kourosh explains the science behind why it’s so hard to listen to logic when we’re overwhelmed. When our emotions take over, the rational brain literally goes "offline."

That’s why mood regulation isn't just a buzzword, it’s the foundation for emotional stability and finding joy in our daily lives.
