The pigs knew before the humans did.

At least, that is how the old story goes.

More than two thousand years ago, a young British prince named Bladud became sick.

Not ordinary sick.

The kind of sick that made people move away from you when you entered a room.

The story says it was leprosy.

And a prince with leprosy was still a l***r.

Bladud lost everything.

His home.
His place at court.
The people who once bowed when he walked past.

He was sent away.

Eventually, the young man who had been raised among royalty found himself living quietly in the countryside, tending pigs.

Perhaps that should have been the end of his story.

It wasn’t.

Because the pigs began disappearing.

Not all of them.

Just a few.

They would wander away for hours and return covered in thick, dark mud.

At first Bladud was furious.

He cleaned them.

They went back.

He tried keeping them away.

They went back.

And there was something else.

Some of these pigs had suffered from terrible sores and rough, diseased skin.

But lately…

their skin looked different.

Better.

Bladud couldn’t understand it.

So one morning, instead of stopping them, he followed them.

Across fields.

Through brush.

Farther than he expected.

Until he noticed something strange ahead of him.

Steam.

Not smoke.

Steam rising directly from the earth.

Bladud moved closer.

Hidden in the landscape was a pool of warm water bubbling from somewhere deep underground.

And there were his pigs.

They walked straight into it.

They rolled in the warm black mud.

They soaked.

And Bladud stood there watching.

Day after day, they returned.

And day after day, the sores on their skin appeared to improve.

Until one afternoon Bladud stood alone beside that steaming water and looked down at his own hands.

His own diseased skin.

Then at the pigs.

Then back at the water.

Remember—

this was a man who had already been told there was no place left for him in the world.

A prince who had lost his family, his home and his future because of what had happened to his body.

And now, standing in front of him, was something nobody had prescribed.

Nobody had explained.

Nobody had even discovered.

Just warm water rising mysteriously from beneath the earth…

and a handful of pigs whose skin was changing before his eyes.

Bladud took off his clothes.

He stepped toward the edge.

He put one foot into the steaming water.

Then the other.

And what happened after he lowered the rest of his body into that spring became a story people would still be telling more than two thousand years later.

But the strangest part?

The water in this story is real.

And eventually we discovered what was hiding inside it.

Comment WATER and I’ll give you the rest of the story.

🎉 WHAT A DAY!! RECORD BREAKING! 🎉

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who came out, supported Mila Earth, chatted with me, stocked up on magnesium and played the LOOT MACHINE with me! 😂💚

This Sunday was extra fun because EVERYONE WHO BOUGHT SOMETHING WON SOMETHING. 🎁

Free products, discounts, Sound Baths and little surprises — watching everyone play might have been my favourite part of the day.

But more than anything, I’m incredibly grateful for every purchase, every conversation and every person who chooses to support a small, local, family-run business.

You made this a record-breaking day for Mila Earth. 🌿💚

Should we bring the Loot Machine back next weekend?? 👀

If you’ve been feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or like you’re constantly “on,” this is your reminder to slow down.

Over the past little while, I’ve intentionally stepped back to spend more time with my family and reconnect with nature. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my physical and mental health.

I’ve also been paying attention to what is actually helping me feel better: spending time outdoors, eating nourishing whole foods, using magnesium consistently, moving my body, getting quality sleep, and making space to simply breathe. Sometimes the biggest changes come from the simplest habits.

I truly believe we heal better in community. That’s why I’m opening up my space for coffee, magnesium hot tub soaks, and meaningful conversations. If you’ve been craving connection, a reset, or just a quiet place to recharge, I’d love to have you.

What has been helping you slow down lately? I’d love to hear in the comments.

What is the difference between foraging and gardening?

The older I get, the more I think the answer is… very little.

We often think of gardens as “ours” and forests as “wild,” but perhaps we’re simply caretakers of both.

Whether I’m walking a familiar trail or tending my own garden, I try to remember that I’m in a relationship with the land, not in control of it.

When I prune blackberry canes, more fruit often appears. When I harvest Devil’s Club, I replant the tip so it can continue growing. Every interaction is a conversation. Every choice leaves something behind for the next season.

Maybe the real shift is moving from ownership to stewardship.

We’re only here for a brief moment. The land was here before us, and with a little respect, it will continue long after us.

So wherever you are today—in your backyard, on a mountain trail, or walking through your local park—treat it as if you’ve been entrusted with its care.

Nature doesn’t ask us to own it.

It asks us to belong to it.

✨ Just six minutes from one of our Solfeggio sound baths.

This is what happens when breath, sound, magnesium, nature, and intention come together. The body often softens, the mind quiets, and deep rest becomes possible.

Even Dali 🐶 knows when it’s time to settle into the frequencies. ❤️

Our sound baths are designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and create space for your nervous system to unwind. Many guests leave feeling deeply relaxed and enjoy one of their best sleeps afterward.

Sometimes six minutes is all it takes to feel the shift.
