I had the pleasure of being a teen in the 90s. Hangin' in my room with my stuff and my music. My door shut to keep siblings out. Dreams and looking ahead. Couldn't wait until after highschool... I would be free.
This 2026 world is not at all what I dreamed of...

I have been actively getting away from all social media. I am not a person who is prone to any form of addiction but social media is not addiction -- it's something else. It's a mind takeover. I'm taking my mind back. They can’t have my mind.

Hanging out with my stuff and my music. Tossing my phone down the hall or keeping it in the other room... It's a process, but it's time.

Being present with my stuff, life and people around me. Even for an hour… Reconnection happens fast when you get rid of it all. Like, immediate.

Giggling and dreams. Excitement and inspiration. I'm going to be free again.
