🌿 total honesty here

I know as partners people make decisions together and I totally get it but I’m telling you right now in full transparency that any time I wasn’t hired because the partner or support person didn’t think they’d need me I have been told after the fact how much they wish I had been there.

That part makes me so sad for them.

Birth is an experience that you will remember forever whether it’s a good experience or not. I want to work with you to make it something you can look back on with massive pride and so much love.

If you have entertained the thought of a water birth and have questions, I’d love to talk about it!

Water can be an absolute game changer when it comes to pain, pressure and potential tissue tearing in labour and delivery.

It’s not messy. It’s not hard work to set up and take down. (If you’re a doula client of mine I do all of that for you. ☺️) It’s big enough to move around in. There are cup holders and handles to hold onto.
Take gravity out of the equation and let your body do what it needs to.

When I thought about writing something here I realized that I just don’t have big enough words for how I wish nobody had to walk the road of such profound loss.

My love goes out to you all and your babies.

So here’s the thing… we have this postpartum group where we get together once a week for 6 weeks and make mom friends happen!

This group is meant for any new mom (doesn’t have to be your first baby) who feels like they are alone in it. For the moms who feel like it’s impossible to make new friends. It’s for the moms who are questioning every decision and are overwhelmed by social media and family input and just having to be everything for everyone.

This is not a mom and baby activity and play group. This is a moms for moms group where you can let your guard down and not be nervous about judgement. You can just say the thing! The things that you think should be said out loud and the things that you’ve never said out loud but you need a brave and safe space to do it.

You don’t need to be anyone other than you in here.

We will hold whatever you need to put down for a little while. There might even be some guest speakers to help you along the way! ☺️

Let’s get in the room together and see what motherhood can really look like. 🩷

So, here’s the thing… we have this postpartum group where we meet once a week and get moms and babies in a room to talk and laugh and cry and BE HUMAN!
We talk about ALL OF IT. The stuff you know you can say out loud and the stuff you’re scared to admit.
It’s all allowed.

This is a space to let your guard down and see that you are most definitely not alone.
Maybe there are a few guest speakers to help you along the way too. ☺️

This is not a mom and baby play group(although babies playing is encouraged). This is a mom for mom’s group. It’s a just be you group. It’s a friendship group.

Even if you’ve been to one before, you’re welcome to return. There is (sadly) no shortage of moms who need mom friends and support. 🩷

Registration is open for our October start date. If you know of anyone who needs this PLEASE pass it on/share.

Let’s get in a room and not have to hold it all together for an hour and a half. We want you there!!!
We have groups from 4 years ago with friendships and bonds still going strong!

Nothing has changed…and everything has changed since I opened 4 years ago.

What started as my hope to help people through the aches and pains of pregnancy quickly blossomed into something much bigger and brighter than I could’ve imagined.

I’m not sure how many parents I’ve treated, laughed with, cried with, hugged, offered words of encouragement, how many babies I’ve held, how many hours I’ve been in the moments of labour and birth but I do know that this “work” is the most life changing and rewarding work I’ve ever been a part of.

Changing the name simply reflects where I’ve been and where I’m going.

I have big plans and big dreams and they are not limited to title of RMT so, Birch & Belly was born.

Thank you for being here. This is just the beginning. 🩷

It’s been a good ride 30’s…

We’ve moved, had a second baby, started an amazing and rewarding business, got 3 dogs, chickens and bees, leaned HARD into my love of gardening, made friends, let go of some, lived through a global pandemic with 2 little kids, worked on myself a lot… like a lot, witnessed so many births and lots of other things.

The 30’s are without a doubt, a transformational time and I’m so okay with next number.

I see the 4-0 approaching and it doesn’t feel scary. It just feels like the next part of the ride.

Tomorrow I’m outta here for a few days unplugged.

See you on the other side!! 😁🎉
