When you have grown beyond the version of yourself they once knew, not everyone will understand or recognize you.

People can only understand another through the depth of their own experiences. They may say, ā€˜you have changed’…and yes, of course, we are supposed to.

It doesn’t mean you are better or further ahead. It simply means we each come into awareness in our own time.

Keep evolving, keep expanding. It may not make sense to them until they grow their own wings.

What if awakening isn’t leaving this world, but finally seeing the magic within it?

One may imagine awakening as transcending this world, reaching someplace beyond ourselves. But what if awakening is about returning? Returning to our bodies, the wonder and sacredness of this human experience.

I have sat with the medicine (ayahuasca) and the journey she guided was deep, healing, and divine…equal parts love, truth, beauty and letting go. Yet one of its greatest gifts is how I experienced the world after experiencing her wisdom.

The world didn’t suddenly become enchanted. I simply returned from the medicine able to see it again. The wonder was always there, woven into nature and quietly surrounding me. I was simply present and open enough to notice it again.

Awakening was never about leaving this world, but about finally seeing the magic in it.

Healing, in its simplest form, is forming a stronger connection—a deeper connection with yourself, your body, and Spirit.

It is learning to listen inward, trust what you feel, and bring your mind, body, and spirit back into relationship with one another. Perhaps healing isn’t about becoming someone new, but reconnecting with the wholeness that has always been within you.

Many of us have spend much of our lives at war with our bodies. With social suggestions to compare, shrink, reshape and ā€œfixā€ ourselves to meet standards that are constantly changing, and often impossible to reach.

Perhaps it’s time we stopped questioning our beauty and started questioning the companies and industries that have created and benefit from our buying into that belief…that we need to change something to fit in.

Because We have spent generations changing our bodies to fit beauty standards created by people who profit from our believing we are not enough

Sweaty, bed head self love and movement for me today.

Live on autopilot, question nothing and just follow along like sheep.

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

Work to provide while someone else spends much of the day raising your children, and question nothing. Keep producing, no matter what you’re going through. Grieving? Exhausted? Overwhelmed? Here take something because…Life goes on. Go get back to work.

Because they don’t teach us to listen to our body and to question what’s not aligned and make changes. Leave the job, clean up the diet, pay attention to what you are consuming. Social media, news, tv, etc

When do we make room to listen to our bodies? To question what we’ve been taught? To ask whether the life we’re working so hard to maintain actually allows us to live?

I’m not judging the people doing what they need to do to survive. I’m questioning why we’ve been conditioned to think that survival is living.

If you could invite anyone to sit with you here for a moment, who would it be?

Someone you’ve lost? Someone you miss? Your older or younger self?

And what wisdom would they share?

Share their words in the comments below. Perhaps that wisdom is exactly what someone else needs here today on their journey

In a garden full of black-eyed Susans, be the echinacea.

Becoming more of ourselves is about letting go of all the ideas that taught us we needed to be a certain way to belong. Underneath it all, we find ourselves.

This part of my life is less about trying to fit a standard and more about becoming fully myself.

Because when I look at a garden, it isn’t sameness that makes it beautiful. It’s the variety of colours, shapes and ways of being.

The next time your inner critic speaks up, pause and get curious.

What is your self-judgment trying to accomplish? It may seem counterproductive, but its goal is likely to create safety. Getting curious can help you understand that part of you a bit better and integrate it.

Sometimes growth doesn’t require judgment. It simply requires awareness, accountability, and the willingness to learn about ourselves.
