Choosing footwear that fits you and your activities is crucial to good foot health. Proper footwear with adequate shock absorption, arch support and stability can help to enhance performance, prevent future injury and keep you comfortable on your feet. 👣

Ensure you are using footwear that aligns with your chosen activity as different sports/activities require specific shoe features (Ex. basketball, soccer, tennis).

This door keeps Ontario moving...

“Feet carry us 185,000 km in a lifetime — and untreated foot pain is strongly linked to reduced mobility, especially as people age.” —Ontario Society of Chiropodists

Foot care is essential, accessible, and central to keeping people mobile and healthy. Every clinic door represents early access, reduced system strain, and better patient outcomes.

Let’s show Ontario the impact of podiatric care — one clinic door at a time.

Diabetes can cause nerve damage and poor blood flow or circulation to the legs and feet. As a result of this, people with diabetes are less likely to detect a foot injury (such as a blister or cut) due to not being able to feel the sensation. Diabetes can make injuries more difficult to heal. Small foot injuries gone unnoticed and untreated can quickly become infected, with a potential for serious complications.

Early prevention is the best medicine. For people with diabetes, daily foot care inspections can help to maintain your foot health.
