I LOVE having conversations with super smart people that shift me, and this was one of them.
Over two decades, Alisa Herriman has built multiple successful businesses.
Along the way, she helped lead her previous sales team to the #1 position in Canada following a significant shift in mindset, and most recently, after a career change, became part of a Top 20 nationally ranked real estate team within her brokerage.
Somewhere near the end of our conversation, almost in passing, she mentioned losing two brothers, losing her home with four kids, and surviving an attempted murder.
This is the context for why and how she deeply understands that life will challenge you, and why being intentional about what you want anyway is the only thing that can help keep you moving forward.
We talked about Bob Proctor’s 3 types of goals, and why the “realistic” ones might be the most dangerous ones you can set.
We talked about Alisa’s daily morning practice that she hasn’t missed in 6 years (?!), about what it costs to stay invisible in your business, and why 100 people who genuinely love your work will always matter more than a million who scroll past.
This one will stretch how you think about goals, identity, and what you’re actually capable of.
