What happens when school ends?
For many families of adults with developmental disabilities, the transition into adulthood can feel uncertain and overwhelming. Too often, meaningful opportunities, structure, and social connection become limited after aging out of the school system.
That’s why we created My First Place Ottawa.
Located in Orléans’ Avalon community, our supportive day program helps adults with developmental disabilities build confidence, independence, workplace readiness, and real-life skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
From interactive activities and community outings to our simulated café experience, participants gain hands-on experience while building friendships, routine, and purpose.
