🚨 THIS DOG DID NOT DESERVE THIS. PLEASE SHARE. 🚨

Somewhere, someone may be desperately searching for their dog.

A black, intact male Labrador Retriever cross was found deceased near Highway 401 West close to the Brighton exit.

He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and multiple broken bones.
We won't post graphic images. We don't need to.

What we do need to say is this:
THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DISPOSE OF A DOG.

This could be someone's companion. Someone's family. A dog who deserved love, compassion and dignity — both in life and in death.
If an animal is suffering and euthanasia is necessary, humane euthanasia is the answer. There are compassionate, responsible options. Abandoning an animal or leaving a deceased animal in this condition is never acceptable.

💔 WE WANT TO FIND HIS FAMILY.
If you have lost a black, intact male Labrador Retriever cross in the Brighton/401 area, or know someone who has, please contact Northumberland Humane Society immediately.
His family deserves answers.
Authorities will be notified so this matter can be properly investigated.

Since the first round of unjustified tariffs from the Trump administration, Chapman’s has been working to re-source our components to Canadian companies, or non-U.S. companies, without increasing the costs for our consumers. We are on track to convert over 70% of our American ingredients by mid-2027.

Not only have we managed to keep our component costs the same, but we have also partnered with other Canadian companies to reshore production of some items that have never been produced in Canada before!

We stand with the Canadian government, and all provinces, in our outright rejection of these unjustified tariffs. Walking away from a ‘deal’ that would sacrifice our economic sovereignty and harm the unique cultural identity of Quebec was the only option.

As the trade war escalates, we are making the commitment to our customers that we will not have a price increase from now until March 2028. We will continue to support our employees with a living wage and provide our customers with the best product for the best price, using only 100% Canadian dairy.
